Comfortable and eclectic, this self contained one bedroom studio (one of three) has been built almost entirely from recycled and repurposed materials. Located at Alpine Ridge, in the heart of the high country and just 4 kilometres from the base of Mt Buller, it is perfectly located for exploring this pristine area throughout the whole year. The Mill Inn Restaurant is just metres away. Suitable for those who love the mountains and everything that goes with it. Studios 1 and 3 also available The Studio has been recently refurbished. It has a kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, rice cooker, electric frypan and portable hotplate plus ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is also a small selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and condiments provided. And if you don't feel like cooking, the Mill Inn Restaurant and Bar is right next door serving traditional alpine dishes and house made pasta. The rustic style bathroom contains a shower and toilet and a heated towel rail. The bedroom has a double bed with the ability to sleep an additional person on a single bed in the loft (via a timber ladder). There is a TV and DVD player and reverse cycle air-conditioning to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. The views are magnificent - sit out on the balcony with a glass of local wine and view Mt Buller in the distance and the abundant wildlife literally on your doorstep. Linen and towels are provided. Guests have sole access to the entire studio - kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and lounge areas. They also have access to a shared entertainment area with undercover BBQ and indoor and outdoor dining areas. This area also has a pool table. The Studio is situated on 3 acres of grounds including two large ponds which have an abundance of wildlife. There is plenty of on site parking for cars, boats and trailers. I live mostly on site apart from during winter when I am up on the mountain doing what I love the most! Have lived in the area for over 20 years and would love to share my knowledge with you. There is an abundance of things to do in the area. The alpine areas of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are only a short 20 minute drive away. If you enjoy mountain biking, bushwalking, great wine and food there is plenty for you to enjoy here. During the winter months, there are daily buses between Mansfield and Mount Buller that will stop at Alpine Ridge when arranged, so no need to drive up the hill if you prefer not to. During the summer, for bike riders that don't want to tackle the hill, there is a shuttle service to Mt Buller which operates from the Mirrimbah Store, 4kms up the road.
