Lion 306: Charming ski-in/out apartment with views

Ski from the door in the perfect central village location. Glorious 270° views of beautiful Alps, glaciers, villages and forests stretching along the Rhone valley, topped and tailed with sunrise and sunset. Ski lifts, shops, restaurants, bars and spa all right on the doorstep. Perfect for hikers, bikers, skiers, boarders, sunbathers, photo-takers, grown-ups, kids and MAGIC PASS holders at any time of the year! A relaxing, cosy and bright third-floor apartment with a south-facing balcony and amazing views of mountains, sunsets, valley and village square. Spacious and charming living/dining area with seating for all the family. Two bedrooms with views of the mountain, the gondola and a smattering of perfect chalets. The master room has a king bed that can be pulled apart to be two twin beds. The second bedroom has 4 bunk beds (2+2). There is a pull-out bed in the living room. A very well-stocked kitchen for the nights you choose to eat at home. Hallway with recycling storage, hooks for coats and plenty of space for everyone's shoes and boots. Bathroom with a large bath, powerful shower and a separate WC. All amenities are very close by due to excellent location of the Lion building in the very heart of the village, including the wonderful Spa and pool, which you can access for free with the Anzère Liberte passes we provide. Even better if you've got a MAGIC PASS - Anzère and many other desirable destinations within an hour's reach participate. A single garage within the building is available upon request for Frs. 80- per week. The height limit is max. 198cm. Otherwise parking is at a free nearby car park (rue des Audannes). You can walk to everything in the village very easily from the apartment. In your car, or using the excellent bus services, you can get to nearby attractions on the mountain, in the valley, or nearby. You can ski right from the doorstep, catching a few lifts to the gondola. Check piste maps for return routes and conditions. The whole apartment with two bedrooms is yours. We don't live in Anzère (wish we did!), we live in the UK. We have professional agents nearby who can help if you need it. You can use the Magic Pass in Anzère all year round, or the Anzère Liberty pass which we provide. There are many nearby resorts within an hour's drive participating in the Magic Pass. Anzère ski runs and lifts are numerous and ever-growing, covering 58km of downhill runs. You can ski across to the telecabine from right outside the apartment, please check piste maps, opening times and conditions. In the summer and winter there are plenty of walks, hikes and trails to explore. Amazing geographical and geological features such as lakes, glaciers, limestone pavements and sediment pillars all within reach. Anzère boasts a number of bars and restaurants, shops and cafes. There's a Spa and Wellness centre where you can relax and ease your muscle-ache, access to the pool is free with the AL pass. A choice of ski, snowboard and parapente schools. Not to mention free buses, an ice rink and village activities all year round. You can reach resorts such as Crans-Montana in half an hour; Verbier and St Luc in about an hour for a good day trip. Sion in the valley is historically fascinating and has all the shops you could want, as are many other nearby towns and villages. Everything you could want right at your doorstep! We would recommend taking a car, but it's not essential. Buses are good, regular and free on certain routes. There's a garage with parking for one (available upon request for an additional Frs. 80- per week). The apartment is about 2 hours' drive from Geneva airport and about 25 mins from Sion, where there's a train station. There are two ski lifts from the square (on the doorstep!) to reach the Télécabine. Otherwise, you can walk, take a bus or drive to the Télécabine (the car park is chargeable). There are two ski routes back to the village square, one black and one blue, and they depend on the snow. Check maps and weather before setting off. Bookings are to be made in complete weeks from Saturday to Saturday. If you would like to book differently please contact us first. We may refuse bookings that end or start mid-week. There's no WiFi in the apartment, but the Tourist Information Centre provides free Wifi, called (Email hidden by Airbnb) '. The signal is not very strong in the flat, but OK on the balcony and best in the village square. To buy a better internet connection please visit the Tourist Information office. The costs are 15.- fr for 1 day and 69.- fr for a week. You pay a Frs. 100.- deposit and take it home with you immediately to plug in. We have a drip-filter coffee machine, so bring some ground coffee. If you can provide your own linen we'll give you a discount of 20.- fr per person. Otherwise, bed linen is included in nightly price, but please bring your own bath mat, kitchen and hand towels. Please note that, whilst we provide bed linen, the beds may not be made up on your arrival.
