Sunset Shepherds hut (Riverside)

A stunning riverside getaway awaits you in our warm, cosy yet spacious shepherds hut. Situated just 8 minutes from j25 of the m5. Our warm centrally heated Shepard’s hut is nestled in a far corner of the field just meters away from the river tone. You can drive right up to the shepherds along a stone track through our field of newly planted trees. You should spot the Swans which are residents of the lake along side the track leading to your idyllic Shepherd hut retreat. Set in a private field with stunning views of the Somerset Countryside. There are also 3 other glamping units. In total, the units can accommodate up to 10 people - perfect for an extended family glamping trip! There is plenty of outside space to pitch a tent for 2 additional guests. The hut only sleeps 2 but extra guests can pitch up outside. Cost is £10/guest extra per night. The Shepherds Hut is set within a working equestrian centre so we ask guests to be quiet and respectful around the stable yard area. Gueats are free to walk around the 6 acre field the hut is located in. There is a lovely scenic walk just across the river on a public footpath which follows the river tone. Turning left on the footpath leads you into the village of Bradford-on-Tone where you will find the White Horse Inn, great local pub with beer garden and great food. Turn right on the footpath will lead you to The Allerford Inn. There will be someone on or around our equestrian centre at most times if you need help with anything in particular but we like to leave our guests to their own devices with checkin and checkout are both being self service. Fantastic local pub (The White Horse Inn) with beer garden in the picturesque village of Bradford-on-Tone, just a short walk away. You may even spot the infamous village peacock roaming around! We have some great walks available, one just across the river! This is a great base to explore Somerset and beyond or just a comfortable few nights to break up a long journey. Great location, we are only 8 minutes from J26 of the M5. We are about a 15min walk to the nearest bus stop which can take you into the towns of Wellington and Taunton where there is also a train station. There is a fire pit outside the Shepherds Hut. We supply logs free of charge but please bring a lighter/matches with you.
