The patio gets sun most of the day so can be a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine whilst taking a few minutes to relax. The fencing has gaps in the bars so is not dog secure. I will be contactable by phone for any advice or urgent matters. As the birthplace of the industrial revolution, and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986, the Ironbridge Gorge is – quite literally – one of the wonders of the world and somewhere that deserves its place on everyone’s must-visit list. Whilst the ironworks, foundries, and mines that once breathed life into the valley are now silent, their place has been taken by quirky boutiques, gastro delights, and attractions to tempt old and young alike. From museums, monuments and buildings of historical importance, to arts and crafts centres, river cruises, and world famous pork pies there really is something for everyone in the Ironbridge Gorge. Walk in the footsteps of our Victorian forefathers at Blists Hill museum (and don’t miss the chip shop!) Take the kids to Enginuity and let them experience science and technology hands-on like never before. Or take a stroll and explore the food stores, craft boutiques and eateries nestled alongside the beautiful River Severn. There’s also a maze of footpaths, country lanes and bridleways, plus the beautiful Dale End Park and children’s play area. So come and visit. The village of Coalbrookdale is within a short drive of the bustling towns of Telford and Shrewsbury for a wide-range of attractions including Telford Town Park, Ice Skating Rink, TenPin Bowling, Wonderland and many more. There are regular bus routes that go to both Telford Town Centre and Shrewsbury, the local Taxi services for the area are also very good. Those wish to walk or cycle, there are numerous walks/cycle rides round the local area.
