Hardy Cottage

A cozy cottage in Hardy nestled on a secure 2.5 acre property with luscious gardens and indigenous forest with paths. Minutes to shopping facilities and tourist facilities such as Giraffe center, Shreldrick’s elephant sanctuary and the entrance to Nairobi National Park to name a few. Closeness to Wilson airport for domestic and regional flights. We are a small family who love having guests enjoy our little slice of paradise with us. We provide starter tea, coffe, milk, sugar, loo roll, soaps. The guests have full use of the entire compound apart from the small lawn directly opposite the main house veranda. The property boasts an indigenous forest which covers 60% of the property with paths a seasonal river. A large lawn area where picnics may be had under the shade of tree’s. At the entrance of the forest overlooking the lawn is a gorgeous rustic tree house with a slide and enough room inside to have a picnic or sleep 3 adults ( no toilet yet..) There is an area for children to play with a kid’s trampoline and small slide castle and climbing combo station. Our guests can happily access all areas aside from the front of the main house We are always available to our guests when we are at home and if we are out we are available on phone. We have 3 permanent staff who live on the property and they are also available in our stead. We are on the footsteps of Hardy Post which has supermarket, salon, shops, chemist, two restaurants. We are in very close proximity to the Giraffe center and a ten minute drive to Baby elephants at Sheldrick foundation. Galleria Mall with extensive shops eateries and small curio market is up the road. Restaurants and cafes are plentiful between Hardy and Karen. Galleria Nairobi hospital and Karen hospital are both very close incase of need. Wilson airport is 15 minute drive and allows for domestic and regional travel. The Ololua forest is a few Km away for walks and hikes and the Ngong forest is just a little further and has a dam and walking paths to enjoy. Rental cars are plentiful as are Uber and taxi’s. A walk to Hardy post is 1km but we advise not to take valuables if you choose to walk We have 3 children ages 5 to 10 and 3 very friendly dogs two of which are still puppies albeit one is large
