Cosy Coromandel Cottage
Our cosy holiday retreat is a short walk away (15-20 minutes) from Coromandel's quaint Main Street eateries, shops and bars. With a large deck and open plan lounge/diner, it's the perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore beautiful Coromandel peninsula or just chill! Our home is a cute little rustic cottage, filled with things we have collected during our own travels. It's cosy and warm, well loved and full of character. It's certainly not a 5 star hotel but it's a great place to relax and unwind. The entire home, including 3 bedrooms, lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom We do not live in Coromandel but are available through Airbnb or by phone at all times. There is a very artistic vibe in Coromandel, evident in the cute shops and galleries in town. Our lane is pretty quiet with lovely friendly neighbours. There is no public transport in Coromandel, however there is a reasonably priced taxi service just a phone call away! Intercity buses service Coromandel from Hamilton, Auckland and Thames. There is also a ferry service from Auckland to Coromandel. Our house is a 2km walk from town and takes around 15-20 minutes. There is plenty to see and do on the peninsula. In the township there are many great restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaways. There are independently owned shops and galleries, public swimming pools, fabulous bush walks and the world famous (in New Zealand!) Driving Creek Railway. There is also great fishing, with Mussel Barge Snapper Safaris being a very popular choice for visitors without a boat of their own. Within easy reach by car is the rest of the peninsula including Whitianga, Thames, Cathedral Cove, Colville, Port Jackson and Kuaotuna.
