The Cottage on Orchard is one of two guest houses and a smaller main house. It was built in 1932 by biographical author Victor Thaddeus. This little rustic bohemian guesthouse is in the Ardentown neighborhood of North Wilmington DE. The area offers short hiking trails, rushing creek, The Candelight Dinner Theater, a neighborhood pool and much more! The entire cottage and the fenced in backyard is all yours! Open the back gate and followthe trail that leads directly to the creek and other trails. Arden is historically an artists community. It has a local museum open on Wednesday nights and Sundays and enjoy dinner and a show at the Candelight Dinner Theater which is within walking distance. Book with us to enjoy a relaxing stay antiquing, visiting the Chadds Ford wineries or exploring numerous state parks and lakes in the area. Enjoy fall with pumpkin picking and hay ride events. 20 minutes from University of Delaware 30 minutes from Philadelphia. 1.5 hours from New Jersey/ Delaware beaches. 2.5 hours from NYC The entire cottage is yours for your stay. Very minimal interaction! We are always on standby for anything you may need. Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance, we can assist in person as well! Parking is located outside of the fence on the property. Street parking is prohibited by town law. Please let the host know if you have more than one car or if you have an oversized vehicle. Pets: An there is a fee of an additional $35 that will be configured into the cleaning fee. Just let us know ahead of time and we will adjust the fee.
