Granny flat/Romantic retreat in leafy Belair

Our warm and comfortable granny flat in Belair easily fits two people. It has a bedroom, livingroom,kitchenette, toilet and a bathroom. There is also an undercover outside area surrounded by trees with outdoor chairs. Ideal for that romantic getaway or work trip. Privacy, comfortable bed and comfortable sofa. The flat is under the main house built into the hillside and stays very cool during the hot Summer months without the need for artificial cooling. Self contained apartment with separate access down a flight of outside stairs. Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Comfortable and modern with comfortable queen sized bed. Own bathroom and toilet. Undercover outside area with outdoor setting overlooking my natural bush garden. The kitchenette comes with a fridge, microwave with oven and grill, toaster, coffee maker,electric frying pan, toasty maker and kettle. Gas barbecue outside under deck for your exclusive use. Laundry facilities available on request. No off road parking but street is quiet and safe. Please ask before making a third party booking. Access to the flat is difficult for some people and i want to make sure that they are aware of this before they book. I have pets on the property. 2 large friendly dogs and 2 cats. The flat is best suited to people who like animals as the cats are outside during the day and the dogs are out in the upstairs yard when im home. The dogs do not have access to your area. Completely self contained. Access from separate doorway. I do have a long driveway that guests can drive down if they have heavy bags to unload but parking is on the street. The flat is under the main house and is accessible by walking down a flight of stairs. There are outside stairs with side rails that take you down to the flat level. People with mobility issues may have difficulties as they are quite steep I live in the main house with my 2 adult sons. I work full time but will be around most of the time and in the evening. I have lived in The Adelaide Hills for the last 20 years and I'm happy to chat and share my local knowledge. There are 2 large friendly dogs and 2 gregarious tabby cats on the premises but they do not have access to your apartment area and the dogs are secured in their own area. I'm happy to chat and help out but very respectful of privacy. If you are afraid of or dont feel comfortable being around dogs or cats my flat is probably not suitable for you I love living in the Adelaide Hills. I describe it to friends as living in the country close to nature but with all the advantages of the city. Belair is only a 15min drive from the CBD. The local train is a 5min walk from the house and takes about 45mins to get to the city as it loops through the local towns and parks. The beautiful Belair National Park is only a 15min walk away and the local beaches are only a 20min drive. Belair is surrounded by beautiful parks and local shops pubs and restaurants are an easy stroll. Train station is only 5 min walk away. Trains leave regularly for the city. A taxi from the city costs $30 approx and Uber can be cheaper. The airport is about a 30 min drive depending on traffic. Public transport is available from the airport to Belair via the city. Iam unable to host guests who are quarantining as i work in healthcare. Sorry. There are pets in the house and yard but they cannot access your apartment or the garden area/undercover area that you will be in. You may meet them in the top yard but i only have them there when im with them. Driveway parking is NOT available. There is plenty of street parking and the street is very quiet and safe. The cats are very friendly and will try to access your flat. The ginger one is very naughty and will steal any food that you leave lying around. If they are a problem just let me know. Please don't allow the cats to come into the flat. The bin in your flat can be emptied into the bins upstairs. The bin with the blue lid is rubbish and the yellow is recyclables. please dont leave bins but the flat door as this attracts ants and cats. Smoking outside is fine but please provide your own bin and empty into bin upstairs not in flat.
