Forest house Tatra for 20, Tatranska Strba

The lodge offers 6+8 double/ twin rooms in two houses, one next to the other. We offer totally 32 beds in 14 rooms (in some rooms, we can provide 3rd bed). Each room has its own bathroom with shower (no bathtubs). There is a guest room with oven, and kitchen with standard equipment in both houses. Breakfast/half board available on request (in high season only). Information about conditions, recommendations of experienced mountain guide and tourist guide are included in the price of accommodation A nice, quiet place in the High Tatra forest. Cottages Tatra are located directly in the High Tatras National Park forest in the altitude of 950 meters. Situated in Tatranska Strba, all the interesting Slovak mountain groups as High, Low, Western Tatras as well as Slovak Paradise are good accessible. A meadow with fireplace located between houses, is an attractive place for groups and families with children. Guest room with traditional oven, quiet place in the forest and environment round the house ensure you ideal relax. You can observe forest animals in the neighbourhood of the houses, as squirrels, in exceptional case also a bear. There are cross-country-ski loops in winter. In summer, the lodge is ideal starting point for trekking/hiking and MTB. 10 minutes of walking there is a funicular stop that brings you in few minutes to the skiing and cross-country-skiing centre Štrbské Pleso (1350 m). 20 minutes of walking there is railway station Strba that links Tatranská Štrba with Bratislava. Access to the houses is simple, and parking is available for approx.10 cars. Access to nearly all the building less roof space (private) and cellar where workroom is. We offer also finnish sauna (for a surcharge), only by staying 5+ nights there is 1 entrance to the sauna free. Guests have to notify their intention to go to sauna at least one day in advance. If we are not present personally we will be available on the phone all the time. You will be given also a detailed description (see house rules). The nearest resort and skiing centre is Štrbské Pleso 1350 m, reachable by cog railway – the stop is only 10 min.walking from the house (pls see the map and see the arrows in the forest). Up-to-date timetable you find in the kitchen (door or on the service window). We can provide you the tickets (1 way = 1 Euro). Just inform us and we will sell you the tickets.
