Chalet Bernardina with view of lake and alps.

Swiss chalet built in 1906 and recently restored. Sleeps 5-6, two on the first floor in the master bedroom and the others on the top floor in four bedrooms. Downstairs is open and modern. Next floor is original and restored locally-sourced wood paneling throughout. Wash room on and toilet on each floor, with additional full bathroom on the top two floors. Radiant heating downstairs, radiator heaters above. Nice and warm in the winter, and cool in the Summer. Porches on top two floors. Chalet Burnadina has the ground floor plus two additional floors above. The entire chalet is being offered on Air B&B. The yard is enclosed with a gate and good for kids to play in. Ground floor: open, modern, wash room with toilet, laundry room, kitchen, dining table, sitting area. First floor: all restored original, locally sourced hardwood. Master bedroom, master bathroom with two sinks, bathtub and shower, living room, sitting room, wash room with toilet, wrap around porch. Sleeps two in master bed. Top floor: queen size bed in one room, single beds in two rooms, and two single beds in fourth room. Porches off two rooms. Full shared bathroom with shower and tub and wash room with toilet. Sleeps two is queen bed and then four others, total of six. You can accommodate two more kids by accessing the trundle beds in the two rooms with individual single beds. I’ve done it but it gets pretty busy up there and noisy as the floors are old and squeaky... We have a gated driveway with plenty of room to park, if you are driving. I drive a Prius and have a charging station. You have full access to the 230 square meter chalet and the gated yard - great for letting young kids wander around. We have an artesian well with a small fish basin so you need to keep your kids safe by making sure they are aware and don’t fall in, particularly young children. We have a chicken coop and enclosed chicken run. No hassle but you can visit. And you get 4-6 fresh eggs every day. There is a garage and studio in the back which I call my refuge. I stay there sometimes but am gone most of the time as I travel quite a bit. Susanna, my AirBNB host, is always around though, so don’t worry. The chalet is located at the entrance to the village of Chardonne, the middle of the World Heritage site Lavaux wine growing region. Multiple wineries in village within steps of front door. Lavaux wine train passes in front of house for tour of regional vineyards and wine tasting. 100 meters to bakery, pharmacy, cash machine and post office. Small village market 200 meters. Gourmet restaurant 300 meters. Funicular going to Mt.Pererin and Vevey 100 meters. Montreux is close - 20minutes by car and only one stop on the train (how I go). The train station drops you in the middle of the city and is the best way to go to the Montreux Jazz Fesitval. We really like going to Montreux and having fun there. You can take the bus or the funicular down the hil and then walk to train station in VEVEY, or park at the Vevey train station to head one stop to Montreux. Many excusions in the forests and mountains near by and the lake is fun in the Summer. Gets warm and good swimming and sailing. Can take cog train up into the mountains nearby and use this as the start for your hike. Just do it. You can catch the train directly from Contraint airport (Geneva ´s airport) directly to Vevey and then take a cab - 7 Minutes - to the chalet. You can also take the 213 bus from the train station and get off at Chardonne and then walk 7 Minutes to get to the front door. (It’s really convenient and easy to use and always is on time and works (its aSwiss train!). There is a funicular 50 meters from the front door that takes you up to Mt. Pelerin where you can go hiking in the forest or go visit the bar and restaurant, which the panoramic terrace, at the Mirador Kempinski Hôtel (fife star property - huge view). In the other direction, the funicular takes you down to the town of Vevey with all of the stores, restaurants, bars and activities. Saturday and Tuesday is the fresh product market on the plaza - really good, just go. There are extensive paved trails through the vineyard, great for going for a run and just walking and enjoying the view. Look for the creeks and waterfalls through the vineyard. I do it year round and never, ever get tired of it. We have WiFi and provide code on arrival. Cable tv down stairs, and on top floor a tv that you can connect to your computer to watch Netflix. Alarm system which we will deactivate on your arrival. We don’t have a local phone as we dropped it years ago and only use our cell phone. We have a charging station for phone and iPads, Kitchen has stove top with five burners, the is a stove and microwave. We have juicer, a Nespresso machine and a tea pot. We will leave some Swiss plug adapters out so you don’t need to worry about that. We have two high chairs for infants, a crib and a back pack that you can use to hike around with your baby or infant on your back. Let us know if you need them and we will be sure to leave them out. Pretty private property with big view facing the lake and the Alps. We own the vineyard across the street as well, direct next to the cemetery, and you can go check it out if you want.
