Nook Cottage has been refurbished for 2021 and we look forward to welcoming you. The cottage is a home away from home offering lounge area for relaxing after walking on the fells. Diner/kitchen with over, fridge freezer & microwave. Downstairs bathroom with bath, shower over bath & WC. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms:one has double bed & 2nd with small double. Also upstairs is a separate WC. Views to Ennerdale fells from front bedroom & views to the sea from the rear. Small rear seating area. If you are looking for exceptional value for money and enjoy a perfect base for exploring the Lake District and West Cumbria, then look no further. Our 2 bedroom cottage with small seating area (south facing) is all you need to relax and create some wonderful memories. There is a small outside seating area. The area is south facing so is quite sheltered and perfect for relaxing on the bistro set with a glass of whatever.... We don't offer a check-in service as standard - we can however meet you there if necessary. We only live about 10 minutes away if we are needed. Frizington is a small village on the edge of the Lake District National Park. There is a bakery, Boots chemist, Spar with Post office ,Fish and Chip shop and a couple of other takeaways. Within 2 minutes walk of the cottage is Yeathouse Alpacas and also 5 minute walk to the National Route 71 of the National Cycle Network makes up the western third of the Coast to Coast (C2C) route. We are 5 miles to Ennerdale by car and 15 minutes to St Bees beach so you have the best of both worlds. Keswick is approximately 30 minutes away and Windermere is around 1 hour. There are plenty of walks direct from the cottage. Parking is available right outside and is located on a very quiet street. We can offer a high chair and travel cot if required. Please specify when booking. PETS - Please read carefully For current bookings received by 12th July 2021, 2 pets are acceptable too at an extra cost of £15 for 1 pet or £20 for 2. We regrettably are no longer accepting bookings for pets after this date due to individuals not following house rules.
