The pigeon loft of Massadou
This small house, a former pigeon loft on the hill of Massadou, is ready for 3-4 guest. Located in a garden, it dominates a medieval village (abbaye, church) and was completely renovated in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) This guesthouse, a former pigeon loft, contains two rooms: groundfloor with kitchen, dining table, chimney and double bed sofa, top floor with two single beds, shower and toilets. A covered terrace outside offers a great view on the medieval village of Blesle (Roman churches, medieval abbaye for women). This guesthouse can be reached only by walking (150 m from the center of the village where car park is easy). Possibility to rent the Massadou Tower located nearby (see https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/5379983) to come with family or friends. The guests bring their own bed linens (possibility to rent some, 30 euros) and clean the guesthouse when leaving (possibility to rent a cleaning person, 50 euros). One or two of these options (bed linens, cleaning) should be taken during the reservation of the guesthouse. Guest have acces to the whole guesthouse and the garden in front of it. A laundry and barbecue are shared with the other guesthouse located nearby. As I am not leaving all the time in Blesle, interactions by email and mobile phone are frequent. Several inhabitants in the village have the key of the guesthouse and can give advice. Typical of the Auvergne region, the village of Blesle (pop. 500) has retained all its traditions in its medieval architecture. Access is easy from the highway and possibility of travelling in the region are manifold. Hikers can explore the wild valleys and the highlands of the Cézallier plateau. All shops (bakery, butcher, grocery, souvenirs, ...) nearby. Access by car to Blesle, then park on the central square (fountain, memorial from first world war). The tower can be reached only by walking (150 m from the square), through two trails. Entrance of the garden using the small iron portal in front of the guesthouse. - Because of walk access only and the presence of stairs, care should be taken with kids.
