Calto della Scala B&B - Euganean Hills

The Calto della Scala B&B is at Torreglia Alta, on the slopes of Monte Rua, just 10 minutes' drive from the spa towns of Abano and Montegrotto and 25 from the centre of Padua. The room - with private access and bathroom, Wi Fi and TV - is immersed in the tranquil environment of the chestnut woods, thus guaranteeing guests total relaxation and a restful night's sleep. Goats, a shy dog and cats provide animation in the courtyard and large garden. The room (13 square meters) is located on the ground floor and has private access and bathroom. It is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, a chest of drawers, chair, mirror, coat rack, TV, ceiling fan, autonomous heating and kettle. In the large windowed bathroom you will find a comfortable shower, a bidet, WC, sink, wardrobe and hair-dryer. Our guests can enjoy the quiet and silent garden and the private car park. We will be glad to help you organize your journey or satisfy any of your questions or curiosities. Our B&B is the ideal starting point for bicycle tours and hiking excursions along the paths on the Colli Euganei. Torreglia, a small town at the foothills, is just 3 km away and it is full of typical restaurants and some pizzerie. The spa towns of Abano and Montegrotto are at just 10 minutes' drive. The city of Padua - where you can visit, among other things - the Basilica of Saint Antony, the famous University (founded in 1222), the ancient Botanical Garden (founded in 1545) and the fascinating and elegant square of Prato della Valle - is distant about 18 km and you can also reach it by bus or by train. From Montegrotto train station you can easily reach Venice (45 minutes), Vicenza (45 minutes), Verona (90 minutes), Ferrara (50 minutes) and Bologna (90 minutes). The garden is animated by our cats and the shy dog Lilli. Clara and Calzetta, our two lovely goats, live in the paddock behind the house.
