Looking for a once in a lifetime opportunity? Look no further! Spend a few nights (or longer) on an island to call your own! Swim, kayak, or float your way to a lifetime of memories on Indian Lake. Enjoy your catch of the day on the grill, have the kids make s'mores on one of 2 fire pits. Enjoy a late night outdoor shower... under the stars! Truly unplug and reconnect to Nature that is all around you. Keep an eye out for shooting stars and the eagle who likes to swoop by and say hello! This is a secluded summer cottage accessible ONLY by boat. The owner will transport guests unless they have their own boat. A fee of $35 is charged each way by check or cash. All kitchen essentials included (dishes, silverware, coffee maker, blender, can opener, etc.). Condiments, salt/pepper, etc are made available also. Full size fridge and stove. Electric grill. Kayaks and life jackets also available. Bring your own rods/bait if you want to fish. Outdoor games for use include: badminton, bocce, cornhole, some water floats and noodles. There are board games/cards/ puzzles for rainy days. Bath and beach towels, all linens are included. Flat screen with DVD and local channels only. There is no cable. Filtered well water. 1 renovated 2018 full bathroom, a separate commode/sink and a 2nd separate outdoor shower. Guests will have access to the entire home. Host lives full time in Dublin, Ohio and is available for assistance during your stay. A brief tour will be provided to ensure all of your questions are answered prior to host leaving. Other homes are on the island and we respect each others' properties. We will pick up all guests at Moundwood State Park (boat ramp available at this location). Ample free parking available during your stay. Host will provide a quick guided tour to ensure all guests are comfortable with their stay and answer any questions they might have. Host will not be present on the property but available via phone or text with needed help or emergencies. Host lives there when not rented, therefore some personal property will not be available. You will never see a sunset, or rise, more beautiful than you will at South Walnut Island. You won't be able to order any pizzas, so bring your favorite culinary delights to prepare! A great place for families, a girls' weekend, a (inexpensive) honeymoon, or place to reconnect with your someone special! The island is inhabited by 3 other homes. Our home is on the end and we hardly ever know if anyone else is around! We will happily transport you to the island by pontoon. You can also rent a boat at Spend A Day Marina or other area boat rental places. You will have access to 2 kayaks and life jackets, floats and water noodles. You are welcome to bring your own. Air pump is available for large floats. Firewood is supplied when available. Washer/dryer can be used by week-long guests with caution. (there is iron in the well water and turns whites red..ugh!) You'll be on... an island! Bring all food and beverages you want to consume while you're there. If you don't have your own boat, you will not be able to get to land until you're picked up at the end of your stay. In an emergency, please contact the host. If there's a medical emergency, by calling 911, local lake patrol/authorities will respond.
