Pet friendly for well behaved pets.a $10 fee per stay for cleaning is req A natural setting in bush land/farm land, amazing sunsets from the decks and 'the rock' as well as abundant wildlife can be seen around the property.......wildlife such as kangaroos, possums, goannas and koalas frequent the farm. Ideal for the overseas visitors, many have oohed and aahed. Free range chooks and ducks supply eggs while a large garden supplies fresh vegies and fruit which you are able to graze on. We have a cosy and well equipped self contained cabin separated from the main house with private ensuite and deck : Airconditioned to keep you comfortable. A truly great find if you are wanting something quiet but with all the mod cons. There is a fully stocked undercover kitchen on the spa deck and your own private deck has a couch and small electric BBQ for that intimate dinner for two. Large spacious garden with many areas to sit and relax in. A self contained deck area with BBQ, spa, day bed and outside under cover relaxing area. The sun set viewing deck with couch and shade. Your own private deck and sitting area attached to the cabin. Fire pit with stunning views out the front of the garden. There are some stunning walks starting from the back door and Jill and Pete are very happy to recommend local walks or cycle tracks. As we are 20 minutes from Wangaratta, many of our guests prefer to eat here, a menu option is available on request when you book .We also have a spa that is available if requested when booking a $20 for 2 nights or part there of and $10 for any extra night to pay for gas ,chemicals etc We have developed a great picnic area on the dam . There is a table setting, BBQ and jetty there for guests to enjoy. This is a beautiful area to relax in especially during the winter and spring when the dam is full and the creeks are running. If guests have a baby or small child there is a sand pit and toys for them to enjoy. It's your space to do as little or as much as you like in. Information on the areas interest points such as wineries, cheese factories, walking trails, lakes, restaurants is available. Our property is close to three special valleys; the King, Ovens and Kiewa. We have been in the area for 43 years so we know it well and would be happy to recommend places of interest for you. We are here if you need us or we can 'disappear' around the property. Very quiet and peaceful. We are 3.4 ks from the Hume Highway. Our nearest neighbour is 2ks away . Our property is an ideal stop over for those travelling between Melbourne and Sydney or Canberra. Wangaratta is only 15 minutes away, Albury 30 minutes, 15 to Rutherglen and 1 hour to Yarrawonga etc. A very central position. We are surrounded by farming land with an organic dairy just below us. We have a large dam where we yabby in season....yum. Our property is 3.4 ks from the Hume Highway. The main Melbourne/Sydney train stops 6 km. away and a bus runs from Melbourne to Sydney and Canberra from Wangaratta. Planes fly into Albury and car hire is available from there.....about 45 minutes away. Car hire and taxi services are available in Wangaratta. Limo rides around the wineries are also available. If you have your own bikes there are many bike trails in the area and there are bikes for hire in Rutherglen and Beechworth etc. To get the most from this area, private transport is highly recommended. The area boasts a great variety of places to visit and activities to participate in. Wine trails, gourmet food, mountain bike trails are of world standard in the area. Historic towns such as Beechworth, Chiltern, Rutherglen, Corowa Yarrawonga and Yackandanda are all features of this great region. The local towns are ideal for shopping and we have gold class cinemas as well as a variety of other activities to keep people busy or just explore. For those who like walking or fishing, visiting the snow or just driving through pristine country, then the N E of Victoria is the place to be. We also have a large telescope available for star gazing and moon watching . Due to low/no light pollution this is very popular with guests. In the summer season, we have an up to date fire plan which is printed in the unit and which we encourage our guests to read. We are also connected to the emergency web site and keep our guests informed of any current situations. We ask our guests to be fully vaccinate for covid for the safety of everyone and we will check status on arrival. We are presently having a deal of trouble with our internet provider so for the time being we ask guests to use their phone as a hot spot. So sorry for the inconvenience.
