My husband and I would love to have you stay at our home. ONLY 5 minutes from Old Sturbridge Village and the Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Show! Also, close to local breweries, tourist attractions, wedding destinations, the airports, and the 3 largest cities in MA. (one hour from both Logan International and Bradley International Airports.) You’ll love it here because of the privacy, location, and the serenity. It would be perfect for couples, singles, or business travelers. The space would best be described as an in-law unit. It is essentially 3 rooms with a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. It also includes a private bathroom with shower. The bed is full size bed but should having to sleep separately be an issue, your guest can accommodate a fouton or the roll-a-way twin in the living room. This walk-out basement "apartment" has the essentials to make you stay more enjoyable. Included are a microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee pot! We do offer a "Continental" style breakfast with packaged foods, cereal, fruits, and yogurt, which is left in your space for your convenience. We also have awesome restaurants in Sturbridge so you won't go hungry! The private bathroom is just a few steps away on the same level. It also has a private patio should you like to sit outside. This would be a nice place to smoke if you happen to be a smoker. There is a private entrance which is accessible through the backyard. During winter months we may prefer you come through the house depending how much snow/ice there is! We are happy to chat with you, give advice about places to visit etc. but also want you to have privacy should you desire it. In the rare case that we are called out of town we always have someone here at the house taking care of the animals and YOU! We live in a development but here in Brimfield we have an acre and a half minimum requirement for building homes so we have plenty of privacy. In addition this neighborhood is made up of colonial reproductions so is quite unique. Less than 2 miles from the Main St. in Sturbridge, there is so much to do. Antique shops, Old Sturbridge Village, Restaurants etc. Also 3 times a year is the Brimfield Antiques and Collectibles Show in Brimfield, MA. They are held in May, July and September. Our street is very dark as we have no street lights. The directions are very important to note and it would be even more helpful to have perused the photos of the backyard where you will enter to reach your lower level patio. We have solar lights and we try very hard to remember to put on all outside lights to also help you navigate should you arrive in the night, but we are only human and sometimes we simply forget or we are out and not home in time to do so. Also, we are empty nesters so there are just the two of us here, however, that being said, we are on the floor above you so there is some noise, but rest assured we are very conscious of being over your head! If you are a light sleeper it has been suggested by other guests that you bring ear plugs. Others have said it is super quiet, so who knows!
