The beach is a wonderful family beach sheltered from the wilder exposed coastline of the southern ocean. The waves are popular with surfers and body boarders, especially those learning to surf or paddle board! The Bridgewater Bay Cafe is the perfect place to relax overlooking the beach. Here you can enjoy a varied and delicious menu and a great coffee. The cafe is also licensed. The fish burger is our favourite! Seal Point at Cape Bridgewater is the largest mainland group of seals in Australia and is home to over 1000 Australian & New Zealand Fur Seals. There is a well-maintained walking track which takes you to the viewing platform and the ‘Seals by the Sea’ boat tour provides a unique and unforgettable experience! Located along the famous Great South West Walk, this property is an ideal place for weary bushwalkers to rest and rejuvenate. Well maintained bushwalking tracks also provide many varied bushwalking options. Located a short drive away, in the Discovery Bay Coastal Park, are the freshwater Bridgewater Lakes. This is a spectacular spot for nature lovers and those that enjoy fishing, canoeing and water skiing. Local natural attractions include the Petrified Forest and The Blowholes. These unique geological features are set amongst a captivating landscape, only a short drive away from Cape Bridgewater. Limestone caves feature along the cliffs and can be seen and explored along the scenic drive close by. Cape Bridgewater is a small coastal place which is easy to get around and find parking. There is a large parking area off the main beach and also from the seal walk. Everything is close by and in walking distance. There is also plenty of room to park at the property.
