Woodbine is a large open plan 3 bedroom homestead (sleeps 6) with separate self-contained garden studio (sleeps 4). The property is surrounded by 17 acres of native bushland, a 2 min drive to beaches and shops, tavern, rock pools, rainforest walks, tennis courts, golf course, post office & pharmacy. The property is 3.5 hr drive north of Sydney, 10 min off Pacific Highway (A1) and a 15 min drive to Forster. Indoor wood-fired fireplace, outdoor hot shower. WiFi in homestead, outdoor firepit. Main features include a large open plan living area, dining room and kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances and espresso machine. There are large front and rear verandahs with outdoor furniture neatly flowing onto lawns. An outdoor hot shower is in the backyard. The homestead is set-back from the road on an elevated bushland property with native trees and wildlife. 2 double bedrooms (one with ensuite) have views onto native bushland. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. Each room has built-in wardrobes. The main Homestead sleeps 6 people. The property includes a self-contained garden studio with queen bed, a kitchenette, fridge and bathroom. The garden studio sleeps 2+. Camping is permitted on the property at the cost of $20 extra per person per night. Additional people in the homestead is also $20 extra per person per night. There is a dam on the property (500m from the house) that is usually full of water. The dam is accessible via a bush track so please be aware should you have young children staying with you on the property. Please note the main property has a permanent resident living in the small adjoining flat to the main house. The resident has an adorable elderly Border Collie companion 'Delta' that you may also see around. Guests are welcome to enjoy the house, garden studio and surrounds including an orchard, grass lawns, walking track and dam. Guests can access the property via a unique code in an external secure lockbox. A guest liaison is available via mobile or in person for any questions, recommendations or issues. The Mid-North Coast area of NSW is a largely undiscovered gem of small beach towns and rural estates. The small village of Black Head Beach s a 2 minute drive away and has parks, bush walks, shopping and sporting facilities. The main beach is a stunning one mile crescent of golden sand and headlands and has weekend and holiday surf patrol. The back beach offers protection from a north easterly wind, is great for surfing and runs 13 miles to Tuncurry. The surrounding beaches of Red Head and Diamond Beach are 5 minute drive from the house. Black Head boasts a tavern, bowling club, supermarket, bottle shop, butcher pharmacy, post office, library and bakery cafe. The front shop 'Waves at Black Head' is great for an ice-cream, coffee or take-away after a swim. The tourist twin-towns of Forster/Tuncurry are a 20 minute drive away. There you'll find a cinema, restaurants, boat hire, shopping, estuary and famous Wallis Lake Oysters. Getting around is best by private vehicle. Free parking is available at the beach and shops. Courtesy buses to the Tavern and Bowling Club are available for a gold coin donation. There are bushwalking trails over the headlands at the north and south ends of Black Head Beach offering whale watching vantage points and spectacular coastal views.
