Glamping: this is the place for someone who wants to go camping without roughing it. Queen size bed, hot shower, stove, refrigerator, electrical outlets and privacy to enjoy the great outdoors. Relax around fire pit and don't be surprised if a deer wanders in. This is the spot where we take our grandchildren camping because we want to enjoy being outdoors but want comfort while being close to all that Cadillac has to offer. Local lakes nearby, close to bike and orv trails. While the site is private you are only minutes away from Cadillac. The wall tent is 16x20 with a plywood floor with throw rugs. It has both a front and back covered porch to allow you to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. If it is cool at night there is a propane radiant heater in the tent. The back porch overlooks a deep valley that often serves as a pathway for deer and wild turkeys. The utility area is 15 feet from the tent and contains both a kitchen and bathroom. There is an instant on water heater so you have plenty of hot water. The antique stove is beautiful as well as functional and you have a full refrigerator. Just outside you will find a large grill. If the chickens cooperate you will have some fresh eggs available for breakfast. There is a large fire pit for your pleasure. We provide fire starters and an ample supply of firewood. You have 150 acres you can explore. This is a working farm with mixed lowlands, pine/hardwood forests, 2 ponds, hay/pasture fields and a flowing stream. Adjoining our property is National Forest. This is glorified camping so there may be bugs (Michigan State bird is the mosquito). Nearby you can access Bike and ORV trails. If you bring an ORV you will need to stay on the dirt roads on our property. Our property is fenced in so you can't get lost. We would love the opportunity to educate you on raising grass fed cattle. The cattle will be nearby so early summer is special with calves being born. Every guest experience is unique; we have had honeymooners to want-to-be farmers. We have enjoyed them all. We can help you arrange side trips, let you help us work with the cattle or give you complete privacy; it's up to you.
