Charming hilltop farmhouse (Apt 1, sleeps 6)

Located on a hilltop in the Tuscan countryside offering guests modern amenities in a tranquil rural setting. Podere dell'Alloro is a renovated farmhouse comprising three rental apartments. There are 2 x two bedroom apartments, each sleeping 6 plus 1 x one bedroom apartment offering accommodation for 4. All apartments feature a comfortable sofa bed. In addition there is a spare room in the host family's apartment and a further sofa bed in the living room. 20 guests in total can be accommodated. Our apartments are conveniently located between the hamlet of Colleoli and the village of Palaia. The nearest town, Pontedera is a 15 minute drive. We are 30 minutes from Pisa airport and Florence, Lucca, Volterra, Siena and San Gimignano are all easily accessible for a day trip. Seaside resorts such as Cecina, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are also within easy reach. There are three restaurants within walking distance and numerous others a short drive away. Drop off and pick up can be arranged. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can all be provided by the hosts if required. We also offer a concierge service for restaurant and theatre bookings and anything else we can do to make your stay more enjoyable. All apartments are self-contained and have their own access and external seating area. Meals can be provided and these are available upstairs in the host's apartment. There should always be someone on site to assist guests. We are happy to help with booking restaurants, giving advice on where to go and what to do, car rental, pharmacy, hospital etc. We can do a shop for you prior to arrival or cook dinner, if agreed in advance. We will be in the background if needed so please do not hesitate to ask. Our neighbourhood is quiet and rural. Having said that we are very well served for local restaurants. There are three within walking distance and a further four or five within a 10 minute drive. The village of Palaia is 4km away, a 5 minute drive or half hour walk. There are all necessary amenities in Palaia, shops, a bank, a petrol station, a coffee/ice cream bar and a pub. The village of Forcoli is slightly further and has more banks, shops and a small supermarket. The nearest town is Pontedera, at 18km and has everything you would expect from a town. The nearest airport is Pisa, a 30 minute drive, which is served by Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and British Airways from the UK. There is a bus service but it is very infrequent. Much better to have a car or at least ask the hosts to transport you to restaurants, train station, airport etc.
