Delightful flint cottage on the South Downs Way

Here is our lovely flint cottage, literally on the South Downs Way (the footpath runs along the bottom of the garden). Surrounded by gorgeous landscapes, and a couple of miles from the sea at Cuckmere Haven. Amazing open fireplace for the winter, lovely outdoor space for the summer. Open plan downstairs with kitchen, lounge, dining and study areas (and day bed). Downstairs loo. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite bath, separate wet/shower room, and a landing with desk. Always available by phone for questions. Either I or my daughter will be nearby in case of any problems. Litlington is a small but friendly village and boasts a gastro pub, a tea rooms and a brewery. The nearest stations are at Berwick, Polegate and Seaford. Taxis from Polegate are around £15. There is a bus stop at Exceat (near Cuckmere haven) for buses into Brighton and Eastbourne. Please be aware that the cottage has low ceilings, so tall people may need to duck a little, but this adds to its charm. There is on street parking, but please park considerately, as the main street is fairly narrow. The staircase is open plan with no handrail, so not suitable for small children or the infirm. Please bear in mind this is a quirky old building, and a lived in home with our ‘stuff’ in it, not a minimalist hotel-like space.
