The classic modernist house, designed in 1954 by Hobart architect Jim Moon, enjoys sweeping views of the Derwent River and Mona. The house is located in the 8 acre waterfront grounds of the mid-century era Riverfront Motel. Sleeping up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms, the house is perfect for families and groups. Guests can make use of the motel amenities whilst enjoying the privacy of this separate home, including restaurant, heated lap pool, bike hire, playground, and waterfront BBQ and picnic areas. Located within walking distance to Mona, the Hobart CBD is 15 minutes by car and 35-minutes via the inter-city cycleway. Our Reception is open from 8:00am- 8:00pm* daily to assist with any requests. After-hours contact is also available. We are located 15 minutes from Hobart CBD; an easy drive to top attractions yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of our waterfront property. Guests can stroll over to Riverfront Motel's restaurant, where they can enjoy great local produce and warm hospitality. Riverfront Motel has bikes for hire ($15 per day). The Inter-City Cycleway is located right on our doorstep, an easy 35 minute ride into Hobart. One of Tassie's top attractions, Mona is located just 900 metres down the road! From here, guests are able to take MONA’s fast ferry straight into Hobart's Waterfront and CBD.
