A cosy cottage set in idyllic gardens in one of the prettiest villages close to Bath. Newly restored to a very high standard, a perfect base from which to explore Bath and The Cotswolds. The Gardener's Cottage is a small, charming cottage set within the grounds of a beautiful 17th century house in the lovely unspoilt village of West Kington. It is self-contained and has everything you need as a base from which to explore the area. On the edge of The Cotswolds, it is only a 10 minute drive from Junction 18 on the M4 and close to Bath. One room on the ground floor with kitchen, dining area sofa and TV. Upstairs has a double bed and ensuite shower room with basin and WC. Tea, fresh coffee, milk supplied on arrival. Basic cooking facilities and essentials provided. Sunny courtyard with table and chairs. Use of tennis court. Garden Cottage is a totally private space but sits within the grounds of a 17th century house surrounded by a large garden with abundant herbaceous borders, topiary, a kitchen garden and a myriad of pathways. On sunny days, enjoy sitting in the pretty courtyard for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. A perfect base for walkers, we have many pretty villages close by such as Castle Combe. Bath, with its classical architecture, Roman Baths and wonderful shopping is an easy 20 minute drive and Bristol can be reached in 25 minutes. For those who like to hunt for antiques, the lovely Cotswold town of Tetbury is within half an hour’s drive. You will definitely need a car, but there is lots to explore by foot including many footpaths and local villages and good pubs. Taxi services available on request.
