Wonderfully light and spacious family holiday home with panoramic sea views, close to great golf, beaches, walks and many other seaside activities in this charming village of St Margaret's Bay. Lovely local pubs and restaurants and near to coastal hot spot Deal. The house boasts a huge living room with floor to ceiling windows and doors opening to the sea facing terrace. Two large en-suite master bedrooms with three further bedrooms (one twin), study, games room, tv room, conservatory and sauna. The grounds include private gated driveway, a full sized tennis court with four rackets, table tennis, croquet, 6 person sauna, fire pit and gas barbecue. The house benefits from a professional American pool table in the ground floor games room and conservatory/kids play room. A wonderful wood burning stove is the heart of the sun filled, South facing living room that opens to the terrace, outdoor dining area and sun loungers (parasols available). There is TV in the living room and also a separate cozy TV room with a working gas fireplace. For entertainment there is Apple TV, BluRay DvD, Sonos and Hi-fi. No Sky TV but there is Karaoke! The chef's kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons , including a separate ice machine and Nespresso. There are spices, oils etc for cooking. There is a separate utility room with washing/drying machines and a dining area that seats ten. On the first floor there are two master bedroom suites overlooking the garden and sea, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom plus shower room. There is also a large south facing deck with sun loungers and further seating overlooking the sea. The second floor is a double bedroom and study area with small terrace again overlooking the sea. There is an infant cot available in this room. All yours, apart from a few locked storage rooms.... The nearby famous white cliffs are a short walk away as is the local beach. The walk down to St Margaret's Bay is quite steep , however there is car access and parking there also. St Margaret's Bay is a charming small coastal village with a hotel, pubs, cafes, antique shops, post office, church and a village shop for essentials. There are lots of walks directly from the house that take in the views and it’s a beautiful 60 min walk along the cliffs to nearby Deal which has plenty of great shops, Saturday farmers market, pubs and restaurants. Dover castle is a ten minute drive away and Folkstone's sandy beach slightly further. Howlett’s safari park is 25 mins away and Quex park just 20 mins...both fabulous for children. Sandwich Bay is a fantastic sandy beach, just beyond Deal. Car is advisable but there are regular local buses and reliable taxi service is available. There is an hourly high speed train service from St Pancras to nearby Martin Mill (5 mins drive) and Dover (15 mins) taking just over one hour. The driveway is electrically gated and there is off street parking. The road itself is private with no through traffic therefore very quiet. The only noise is the sea ! There are several stairs down to the front door, not suitable for wheelchair access. We do have (lovely) neighbours and insist outside noise at night is kept to a minimum.
