Imagine a vintage 30 foot yacht, retired from her ocean voyages and transformed into a uniquely beautiful tiny-house-style hideaway in the serene hinterland of Mullumbimby. This is the Belafonte II and she is waiting for you! 5 min drive to Mullumbimby Village with great choice of quirky cafes & shops. We welcome you to a magical & soothing experience as you land-sail into uncharted waters of blissful relaxation in your little home away from home. Breakfast & refreshments included. The Belafonte II is fully self-contained & offers a quirky yet comfortable tiny-house style experience. Set on our 3 acre rural property, under a huge protective bamboo grove, surrounded by bushland - wake to the sound of birds. Cosy & welcoming, the Belafonte II has been lovingly transformed & thoughtfully handcrafted with French doors on both sides of the boat leading to extended decks, shower & toilet. Surrounded by your own private courtyard area, you have all the amenities you need for a soothing & relaxing stay. Other things to note... Late August to September is firefly season & you will see these magical little creatures flitting around the Belafonte II in the garden at dusk around this time of year. The galley style kitchen is equipped with all the basics including a gas stove, microwave, small fridge, coffee machine & coffee pods, a range of teas, mineral water, biscuits, cereal, free range eggs, bread, jam, butter & milks, and of course...chocolate! The Belafonte II is ideal for singles or couples, also perfect as a private writer/artist/yoga/meditation retreat. There is a washing machine on board. The toilet is a modern-design eco-friendly composting toilet. If you are new to composting toilets, please don't be afraid - it's really no big deal and is so much kinder to the environment than conventional flush toilets. Mobile reception can sometimes be limited here, depending on your carrier. There is Wifi and a Smart TV (but no free-to-air TV available). Inside the Belafonte II is strictly non-smoking. If you choose to smoke outside, please use the cigarette bin provided. We allow candles, but for your safety we request that you only use the candle provided & please never leave it unattended. On your voyage aboard the Belafonte II you have your own private courtyard area with a view over our 3 acre property & forest. For your privacy, access is limited to your private courtyard. Drive in through your own private entrance gate which is marked "Belafonte II" - to your parking area - close the gate behind you and you will not be disturbed for the duration of your stay. My partner and I live on the property, so we can be available at any time if you need assistance. Your privacy is assured but assistance is available if required. Location The Belafonte II is located in a quiet rural cul-de-sac, 5 minutes drive from the unique village of Mullumbimby, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, golf club, bowling club, farmers market each Friday morning & a craft market 3rd Saturday of each month. We are located 45 minutes drive from the Gold Coast airport & Ballina airport. 10-30 minutes drive to some of the finest beaches in the world including Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Broken Head, Whites Beach. 15-20 minutes drive to: Byron Bay town Newrybar Village Federal Village Brunswick Heads Village Bangalow Village Things to do in the area include Bush walks 10-30mins drive to stunning beaches & natural lagoons.
