Authentic Maine camp on unhurried and unspoiled Parker Pond (4 miles long), central Maine's most pristine water body. Your biggest surprise will be the quiet. Clean, well appointed camp w/ original art & antique "sportsman" decor. Private setting. Great swimming, fishing, kayaking. Life is good here. Cozy camp recently renovated is perfect retreat for a small family or a couple of couples. Gleaming pine interior including exquisite wide pumpkin pine floors. One bedroom in main camp with double bed, the other in a detached "bunk room" with built in double sized platform bed. Both bed are new in 2021. Indoors flows to outdoors with lots of windows, large screen porch, decks, and boardwalk to waterfront pier and floating dock. Great swimming right off the dock. Charming and exceptionally clean outhouse. Fresh local spring water for drinking in cooler/dispenser. A real Maine experience. Guest can enjoy the main cabin, large screen porch, bunk house, shed, decks, and docks. Three kayaks and a canoe are provided along with paddles and life jackets for guests to get out on the water. Unhurried lake is popular with kayakers and fishermen (salmon, brook trout, bass). Enjoy 1700 acres of serene lake surface unspoiled by zooming power boats. Miles of undeveloped pine studded shoreline and islands to explore. Hiking nearby by boat or car. Become a locavore while here and treat yourself to locally sourced organic produce, dairy, and meat while supporting the local economy. Several farmers markets, farm stands, egg stands,a craft brewery, and cheese makers within 15 minutes. I live just over an hour away and am handy by phone should any questions arise. It is possible that I may meet/greet you at camp, but not likely. You will have the whole place to yourself. In an emergency, I have a couple of helpful neighbors to assist. As a result, I only take weekend bookings at the last minute, since they disrupt 2 "whole" weeks. I also have a 3 night minimum during the summer months. There are no laundry facilities onsite so I ask my guests to bring their own linens (queen or double) and towels. However, if a guest prefers, linens and towels can be provided for an extra fee of $100. This must be paid directly to me in advance of your arrival.
