The Engine House

The Engine House is a Grade 2 listed conversion in the stunning development that is Perran Foundry. Nestled on the banks of the river Kenall, The Perran Foundry is a World heritage site that is over 200years old!. The Engine House as the name suggests was the beating heart of the foundry. The building has been brought back to life and now boasts contemporary spaces set into the fabric of the old foundry buildings. The living room in The Engine House has a stunning vaulted beamed ceiling with log burner. This open plan room has a large breakfast bar that opens into the modern fully fitted kitchen with integrated Bosch appliances. On the ground floor there is one of the double bedrooms and a stylish bathroom with bath/shower. Upstairs is the second bedroom with stunning en-suite. The house has under floor heating and is decorated to an extremely high spec. All bed linen and towels are provided. unfortunately we do not accept any pets and only children over the age of 12years can stay at the property. During these uncertain times due to Covid 19, we would like to reassure our guests that our cleaning regime is undertaken to the highest of standards inline with government guidelines. Self check in means that social distancing can be maintained. please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Guests have access to the entire house and have the use of an allocated parking space adjacent to the property On arrival guests will have self check in , however I am on hand as I live locally , should you need any help or have any queries. The Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Devichoys Wood is directly on your doorstep and provides beautiful walks. There are 2 wonderful traditional Cornish pubs within walking distance of the property where fabulous home cooked food is served . Mylor, the renowned sailing hub , is a short 2 mile drive away. The famous Bissoe cycling route is a stones throw from The Foundry There is a bus stop directly at the Foundry front gate where you can pick up a regular bus into either Falmouth or Truro both of which are a mere 5 miles away. The train station in Perranwell Village 1 mile from the house has connections to both Falmouth and Truro which in turn connects with all mainline trains throughout the country.
