The Home Place at Clore - Apartment B

Spring is here in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Hiking trails and local vineyards, breweries, restaurants and stores are open for your enjoyment. The Home Place at Clore is taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of our guests. We are still disinfecting everything to bring you a sparkling clean home for your stay. Along with regular laundry, we also wash every blanket/comforter after each guest. Tucked away in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison, Virginia, the Home Place at Clore offers a relaxful getaway with easy access to local attractions. Whether you are coming to dine at Madison’s restaurants, relax at our local breweries and vineyards, or to hit the hiking trails, we’d love to have you stay with us. The Home Place has spacious rooms, breathtaking scenery, and is filled with Clore furniture. The Home Place at Clore Airbnb has two apartments for guests to stay a night, or two, or even more! This apartment is the top, upstairs of the home which is half the length of the house. There is one flight of stairs leading to the apartment. It has two bedrooms, two baths (one full, one half), a living room, a dining room and a kitchen with counter tops made right in our factory! Wifi is available. Up the hill from the Home Place is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the Hebron Valley! On the hill you’ll find a small glass/wood house inviting you to come inside and relax. We encourage you to stay awhile and take in the breathtaking scenery. The Home Place overlooks the showroom and factory of Clore Furniture, a family-owned business that has expertly produced handcrafted furniture since 1830. At any hour, you may find the founder’s great-grandson examining details on a kitchen chair or his father assembling a chest of drawers by hand. We care because we know what is created today will one day become a treasured heirloom. You will have access to the entire apartment. We are always available during your stay - just give us a shout! We would love to answer your questions, point you to local activities and share our favorite spots with you! Just a 5-10 minute drive to local restaurants: Mad Local, Miranda's, Bavarian Chef, Jenny Lynd's Pizza, Giovanna's, Yoder's Country Store, Piedmont Deli, Tastee Freeze, Madison Exxon, Sheetz, Wolftown Mercantile. We are 30 minutes from Charlottesville, and 90 minutes from Washington D.C. We are minutes away from Bald Top Brewery, DuCard Vineyard, Revalation Vineyards, Early Mountain Vineyard, Blue Quartz Winery and Shotwell Run Brewing Company, Prince Michel and numerous other vineyards are a short drive. The Home Place is a large home which has been divided into three totally separate apartments. While this apartment (Apartment B) is half of the upstairs of the house, Apartment A (which is also an Airbnb) makes up the entire downstairs of the home and Apartment C (which is a private residence) is the other half of the upstairs of the home. There are separate entrances for all three apartments. But, it is highly possible that there will be guests/tenants in the other apartments while you are visiting. We ask that all guests limit excessive noise as best they can while they are visiting in consideration of other guests. Pets are not allowed - except for service animals. OLD RAG MOUNTAIN HIKING INFORMATION - NEW FOR 2022 Day-use tickets are required to hike Old Rag (along with a park entrance pass) and need to be purchased prior to the day you plan to hike.
