Northwestern, and the lakefront are walking distance from this cozy coach house, and Metra/CTA train stations just 3 blocks away. The large living/dining room features built-in bookcases stocked with books and magazines and a marble dining table with seating for 6. The couch in the living room converts into a full-sized bed. Large windows with eastern and northern exposures bring plenty of natural light into this relaxing space. Feel like dining in? Custom maple cabinets, granite surfaces, marble flooring, track lighting and full-size appliances make cooking a breeze. Plates, glassware, flatware, cookware and utensils are provided for you; Whole Foods Market is just 6 blocks away. Feel like hanging out? Watch local channels on a large 65 inch Smart TV - log into your Netflix or Amazon Prime Video account to watch streaming video or get on the Internet with high-speed Wi-Fi. Bedrooms feature a queen bed and a double bed with memory foam mattresses, bedside tables with reading lamps, and closets with built-in shelving. The bathroom is tiled in marble, and has a marble-topped vanity and glass-enclosed shower. We like to greet guests and interact with them whenever we see them outside, but generally respect their privacy as we live in a separate main house. The neighborhood we live in is historic yet undergoing a great renaissance. We love the fact that we can walk to dozens of high-quality restaurants, to the CTA, to the movie theater and even to the lake. The convenience and the ambiance is unparalleled! The CTA (subway) and the Metra (suburban rail) are both two blocks from the house, so getting downtown is a breeze. A PACE bus route (Route 208) stops right outside the house to take you West to Old Orchard and Woodfield shopping malls. Please note that the steps leading up to the coach house are somewhat steep. If you have young children, we can arrange for a crib, high chair and other amenities to take care of the little ones!
