The "Dolce Vita" room is the largest room in the villa, offering a large bed, small sofa, coffee table, wardrobe and a fantastic ensuite bathroom with bathtub, shower and sauna - including private access to the garden courtyard which has table and chairs. Villa Lucchesi dates back to 1850 and has been recently renovated to a high standard to provide an elegant and comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation in the historic spa town of Bagni di Lucca. The owners Irina and Domenico come from an international background and look forward to welcoming guests from all over the world. We speak English, Italian and Russian. We are passionate about creating a warm and friendly atmosphere and providing an outstanding level of hospitality. You will be able to access your own private room (with ensuite bathroom) as well as the breakfast room, reception area and our tranquil garden where you can relax, enjoy a drink and soak up the sun. As the bed and breakfast owner, I live in Villa Lucchesi with my husband Domenico and we will both be available throughout your stay to answer any questions and offer tips on where to eat and visit in the local area. Villa Lucchesi is located a couple minutes' walk away from the centre of Bagni di Lucca. Local bars, shops, restaurants and trattorias are located within a few minutes' walk - and other excellent restaurants and places of interest are within close driving distance. Bagni di Lucca is a charming historic spa town nestled in the green valley of the river Lima at the foot of the Apennines. It is known as the “Switzerland of Italy” due to the tree-clad mountains that rise around it, creating an almost alpine-like feel. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and offers excellent trekking routes. The town is peaceful, quiet and safe. A charming place to relax and a great base for enjoying the pleasures of sun-drenched Tuscany. We would recommend that you rent a car for travelling around Tuscany and easily seeing the best places. We have free on-street parking available outside the villa. We are located just 20 minutes away by car from the beautiful medieval town of Lucca which offers excellent shopping, art, culture, architecture and music festivals. The nearest airports are Pisa and Florence, about an hour’s drive away. Bagni di Lucca is also easily reached by public transport, with buses and trains from Pisa and Lucca, and connections to Florence and the Versilia coast at Viareggio. The railway station is less than a mile away from the villa and we can arrange to pick you up from the station if you let us know in advance. The beach is an hour away by car and we have a local indoor and outdoor swimming pool overlooking the mountains (just a 7 minute walk away) We have a small friendly poodle (she's lovely, calm and doesn't bite!)
