Six beautifully appointed farm cottages nestled on the banks of theTumut River. Great trout fishing retreat on a working cattle property. Ideal accommodation for couples and families to explore Tumut Region and Snowy Mountains. Close to ski fields. Ribbonwood Cottages are situated on the site of one of the original settlements of Tumut. This historic farm was the site for the first bridge over the Tumut River and home to the largest English Elm tree in the world. Originally a millet growing farm, it is now used for cattle grazing. Ribbonwood Cottages are set on the river flats with guests having full access to all of the farm including 500m of private frontage to the Tumut River where guests can relax and unwind, fish for trout and have campfires beside the river. Being sixth generation to the Tumut Valley, Brett is only too happy to provide guests with any information they require about the farm, fishing and things to do in the Tumut Region throughout their stay. The Tumut Region offers so much from trout fishing, canoeing and swimming in the local rivers and creeks to snow skiing at Selwyn Snowfields. Bushwalking, mountain bike riding and horse riding in National Parks and State Forests are also popular activities and Yarrangobilly Caves and Adelong gold mining walks are close by. Tumut has a variety of cafes, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
