Alexander Guesthouse is a personal and family run guesthouse in the heart of Zurich's old town. Only a few steps away from our guesthouse you will find Zurich's main train station, Zurich's universities (ETH and Uni Zurich), the University Hospital Zurich as well as the banking and business district. In addition, the old town with many cafes, bars and restaurants invites you to linger. The lakefront is a 15-minute walk and about 6 minutes by streetcar. Those who still want or need to arrive by car have the possibility to reserve a parking space with us for CHF 30.-/day. However, these are unfortunately limited in number and therefore only bookable according to availability. Please contact us early if you would like to reserve a parking space with us. Otherwise you can find several parking garages in the city, which are not far from our hotel. The closest would be the Urania parking garage at Uraniastrasse 3 in 8001 Zurich. From the airport you can easily reach us by train, cab or Airport Shuttle Bus: From Kloten Airport there is a train every 15 minutes in the direction of Zurich HB (Zurich Hauptbahnhof/ Main Station). From Zurich Main Station you can reach us on foot in about 5 minutes or you can take streetcar no. 4 two stops to the nearest stop "Rudolf-Brun-Brücke". The train ride to Zurich main station costs CHF 6.60/ way for one adult person. The transfer from the airport to the hotel by cab costs about CHF 60 and takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Airport Shuttle Bus - "Check-in Allways": The Airport City Bus (hotel bus) takes our guests from the airport to the hotel every half hour within 30 minutes. The bus stop for the Check-in Allways shuttle bus is located at the airport bus terminal, between arrivals 1 and 2, in hotel bus zone 4. The bus takes you to the hotels every half hour. The shuttle bus costs CHF 32 for one person and CHF 37 for two persons. At our reception at Niederdorfstrasse 40 in the Hotel Alexander, there is a coffee machine from 6 - 11 a.m., which our guests from the Alexander Guesthouse are welcome to use free of charge. There is also a water dispenser at the reception and fresh Swiss apples every day, which are free of charge for our guests. The check-in is located in the Hotel Alexander at Niederdorfstrasse 40.
