Ancrum is the first stop on the St Cuthberts Way walk Getting Around Local bus service 5 minutes walk, train service to Edinburgh which takes 50 minutes and runs every half hour free parking after a 15 minute drive to Tweedbank Station. About an hours drive to Northumberlands wonderful beaches, Farn Islands, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle. Full use of Garden Area Located in the village of Ancrum, in a truly beautiful rural location. The immediate area is a paradise for walkers and hikers with the nearby Cheviot and Eildon hills to explore. Great place to stay if walking the St Cuthberts Way. Self Catering Cottage. Public Transport by Bus, provided by Borders Buses service number 51 and 52 We have a washing machine which is in the main house. If you require your clothes washed we can do this for you. This is an additional service and costs £10. Please note we do not have a dryer. The clothes will be dried overnight on the clothes pulley over the house stove.
