Calm,Peace, Happiness....Vagamon Courtyard

Vagamon Courtyard is nestled between two rolling hills and beside a brook. Monsoon transforms the calm brook into a roaring rivulet, complete with a gushing waterfall, changing it's color from a pale greenish blue to a coffee brown - complete with foam. Ours is a 5 bhk unit,2 bedrooms separated from the main building. All bedrooms have attached bathrooms. We have a fully equipped kitchen for our guests to use. We can accomodate a maximum of 14 guests and extra beds will be provided at ₹500 per person for upto 10 people. You are free to book the entire place for up to 14+ guests. Check our FB page, Vagamon Courtyard. The trolley beds in two of the bedrooms are for children below 12 only. All meals will be prepared on request and will be charged or you are free to cook your own meals. Our caretakers Rajesh and Renjita can help in getting your groceries. Please feel free to call me for any kind of exigency. I have a humble request to all guests to reduce or if possible avoid any plastic waste. Overuse of water to be reduced. Make merry, have a drink or two but make sure empty bottles are not strewn over to our neighbour's yard and dispose it wisely. This homestay is run by me and my wife Mrs Lily Roy.I am happy to meet all my guests. I stay half an hour drive away from the homestay. Please feel free to call me whenever any kind of need occurs. My caretakers are well informed of every need of our guests. Come,relax,enjoy the breeze and fog. Thats all i can say about my place. I love it so much for the serenity surroundinfarm. We can arrange vehicles for trekking on hourly basis. Guests are at their own risk when you book for the trekking packages. These packages include trips to 4km tunnel under the mountains, orchid farm, ultramodern dairy farm with imported Jersey cows grazing in the farm etc. Thekkady wild life sanctuary is only 45 kms from our place. Getting around: Nearest railway station is Kottayam, where you can alight and take a cab. Drive around 65 kms via Ettumanur-Pala-Erattupetta-Vagamon. After reaching Vagamon town take the road towards Chottupara. Nearest Airport is Kochi International Airport, Angamali which is 104 kms away. Book a cab and follow Kariyad - Airport - Mattoor Rd to Main Central Rd in Mattoor, Kalady (8 min -4.9 km). Continue on Main Central Rd. Take SH8, Thodupuzha - Moolamattom Rd, Erattupetta Muttom Rd and SH14 to Pullikkanam - Elappara Road in Vagamon. There are few long distance buses to Vagamon. Nearest bus depot is Kumily, 46 kms away from here. Please note smoking is allowed but strictly outside the house. We have a huge courtyard where you can spend time for smoking.
