The sitting room/ kitchen and bedroom have stunning views, with the sitting room benefiting from an electric fire and doors out onto the lakeside decking with direct water access and comfortable seating, your own rowing boat and kayaks to use on Rudyard lake. The amazing Boathouse apartment is completely private for guests and the private lakeside garden too. The owners live in the main house above the apartment. The Apartment and private waterside garden with direct water access and private use of the rowing boat and two sit on kayaks. The private waterside decking garden enjoys beautiful uninterrupted views of the lake and runs down to the waters edge. I’m available by phone and I’m here in person most of the time to help with any questions. Rudyard is a beautiful village. We have walks directly from the house around Rudyard lake ( 6 mile round walk) and Rudyard has a hotel which is our pub and the lakeside cafe and tourist information centre at the dam end of the lake, a 10 minute walk through the picturesque woodland. The wonderful market town of Leek is a few miles away. The Peak District National Park. By Car or bicycle. Or by boat of course! In summer bring wet suits in winter bring warm clothes. House is not suitable for children under the age of 8 and not suitable for the elderly and infirm as there are many steps. 54 to be exact from the private parking down through the owners garden to the private entrance and garden. We require a refundable security deposit of £200 before arrival. This is returned after an inspection following departure.
