Normandy farmhouse bed & breakfast

Large 18th century stone building set in a 5 acre garden overlooking open countryside, scene of very heavy fighting in WW2. Evening meals available on request, much of the food grown on our own property. We have 1 large room with en suite facilities and a suite of rooms, comprising a double room and twin room with a shared bathroom. Our home is set in the beautiful Normandy coutryside. While we have made sure the house is comfortable we have kept the French Farmhouse feel and look. As our guest you will have access to your room for sleeping and relaxing, our large farmhouse kitchen for socialising with us and fellow guests and sharing meals with us. You are also welcome to explore our large garden and meet some of the livestock. There is garden furniture for you to use. This is our home which we willingly share with you. We are available most of the time although we do have family spaces within the house and even, with 2 teenage children, a life away from the property. We live in the beautiful countryside of the bocage around Vire in Normandy. The area is very rural with many lovely villages and market towns. We are located in the middle of many of the top tourist attractions in Normandy, including the Bayeaux tapestry, Mont St Michel, the D- Day beaches and William the Conqueror's castle in Falaise. We are in the countryside, 15 km from the nearest train station and there is only one bus a week so getting around without a car or a bike is almost impossible.
