La Colonie, The Loft

Atypical Bed & Breakfast, located in the heart of the village of Aubrac at 1365 meters above sea level, on the majestic plateau of Aubrac. Also located on the road to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, between three departments; Aveyron, Lozere and Cantal. Old hotel built in 1895, then transformed into a summer camp to become today an exceptional guest house. With a total surface area of 150 m2, the Loft de La Colonie is a walk-through space whose openings, mainly Velux, give onto the four sides of the building, in the four directions of Aubrac. Composed with two spaces arranged as a bedroom at its ends, the Loft has, on one side, a double bed of 160 by 200 cm and a bed of 90 by 190 cm, and, on the other side, two beds of 90 by 200 cm (with the addition of a two-seater school desk), making it possible to accommodate a total of five people. The very large central space is divided on the one hand into a sitting area with a sofa, armchairs (club), and, not far away, a table with four chairs and a high chair for small children, and on the other hand into a very spacious kitchen where the stove is located in the middle, while the sink and a large worktop are placed against the wall. The Loft has a bathroom with a bath shower and toilet. The icing on the cake, a wood stove in this vast, one-piece space will liven up the evenings. La Colonie is located in the heart of the village of Aubrac near Nasbinals, Laguiole, St. Urcize, Saint Chely d'Aubrac and 45 km from Rodez and Soulages Museum. During your stay you will be able to share our passions. Enjoy our family champagne - house Chauvet founded in 1848 in Tours Sur Marne - admire contemporary photographic works, discover books, browse the paths and roads of the Aubrac, take the "drailles" mountains. La Colonie offers you to restore in our large lounge with dinner plates or dish of the day with products from the region.
