Cosy Attic Room near fast Nottingham Bus /Train

Large family home in the quiet area of Attenborough (with nature reserve and cafe), just a few bus stops away from Beeston. It has the advantage of being close to some nature and yet is right near the bus stop to take you to Nottingham, Derby, East Midlands Airport etc. This listing is for a small cosy single room on the top floor of a family home. You will find a toilet with washbasin and a separate shower on the same floor, which are especially for guests. There are often two other single guest rooms in use on this top floor. You will have access to the kitchenette on the middle floor with drink facilities, hob, microwave and a small fridge and a freezer. (NB as this is a vegetarian household, only cold meats, meaty pizza or takeaway allowed unless you want to use our camp cooker outside.) Washing up and clothes washing facilities in the ground floor kitchen are accessible 7-8.30 mornings and evenings. Ground floor kitchen available for cooking 7-8.30 pm, especially for prolonged frying or very pungent food. 20 minutes’ bus ride to Nottingham. 5 minutes to the Skylink bus stop to Nottingham and EMA and a few further minutes to the Indigo bus stop. Also 20-minute walk to tram stop to University and 10 minutes to Attenborough station. Nearby (15 minutes’ walk) is Attenborough Nature Reserve which is a beautiful place to go on walks or for a bike ride. You can also walk straight out to a field and footpath alongside a gold course. You can use the guest kitchenette all day 6.30- 9.30 pm (unless by special arrangement due to your work hours.) Washing up and clothes washing facilities in ground floor kitchen. 7-8.30 mornings and evenings. Ground floor cooking (for very spicy food or prolonged frying) evenings 7-8.30 pm. We are a busy family, with twins, age 15, and also 4 older siblings who regularly visit. We like to give our guests privacy but do feel free to ask any questions at all. I love to meet new guests. I do not interact greatly with guests between 8.00 and 17.00 - I work from home - but I will do my best to reply to any requests. Our house is located in a quiet suburban location with excellent transport links to nearby cities (Nottingham and Derby) as well as other areas. There is a good local pub with food (The Blue Bell) 7 minutes’walk away or four other pubs (The Beekeeper, The Corn Mill, The Cadland and The Charlton Arms.) A fish and chip shop (George's Tradition), Indian restaurant (Haveli Fine Dining), Chinese takeaway (Fontana Garden), McDonalds, Starbucks, Costa, M&S Food, Tesco Express and Lidl are within a 5 minute drive (or 15-20 minute walk). There is a bus stop 5 mins away with buses to Nottingham (20mins) Beeston (5 mins), Derby, East Midlands Airport (40mins) and Long Eaton. Attenborough Train Station is a 10 minute walk away with trains to Nottingham, Derby (including stops for the Peak District.) ADDITIONAL INFO Driveway for three cars.
