Masseria delle pecore is an oasis of peace located in Specchia, a quaint village known as the jewel of Southern Salento. The property is a stunning 17th Century Masseria restored with exceptional elegance and designed for modern comfort. The estate features 5 private master suites each with private entrances. The suites are divided into 4 units around the property as followed: 1. Washington - main unit with a large master suite and a private bathroom including double sinks and an extra-large raindrop shower. The unit also includes a large living room area with a dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a guest 1/2 bathroom. 2. Yangon and Hanoi - 2 master suites each with private entrance and private bathrooms with raindrop showers. Both rooms are separated by an anteroom. These rooms can be used as two separate rooms while respecting total privacy or connected for a family with children. 3. Bruxelles - smaller detached unit with a master suite and private bathroom with a raindrop shower. 4. Nairobi - separate unit attached to the main structure, this space includes a master suite, a bathroom with a raindrop shower, and an equipped kitchenette. Each master suite has its own independent entrance, a private bathroom with a shower, closet space, and the possibility of including an extra single bed and/or a crib. The estate offers underfloor cooling and heating and reliable wi-fi throughout. There are many fully equipped outdoor spaces including a dining area with barbecue, a lounge area, and a uniquely designed swimming pool which is chlorine-free and can be heated during colder months. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plants, flowers, palm trees, and orange and lemon trees. The estate offers rustic luxury and every modern convenience. It's an oasis of peace and an inviting option when you are not in the mood of finding the right beach for the day. Daily cleaning and private chef available upon request. In the summer months, squares and sidewalks are full of bars and restaurants while small grocery stores tempt passers-by with their irresistible range of local specialties. Don't miss Bar Martinucci in the main square for fantastic gelati or home-made rustici or 'pasticciotti'. Located halfway between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea, Specchia is a true paradise for sea lovers. On the Adriatic side from Castro to Santa Maria di Leuca there is the rocky coastline made of cliffs, coastal dunes and wonderful coves. On the Ionian side, from Santa Maria di Leuca to Gallipoli you will find some of the most beautiful sandy beaches such as Marina di Pescoluse (about 20 minutes by car), Porto Cesareo, Torre Lapillo and Punta Prosciutto. All these beaches are easily accessible by car. Traveling by car is also a very pleasant experience as the countryside surrounding Specchia is covered with centuries-old olive groves and vineyards where you can find excellent wines and some of the best Extra Virgin Olive oils.
