Hacienda 2 at Blue Tongue Berries

Hacienda 2 is a private guest room with ensuite in a modern bespoke strawbale building, situated on an off-grid blueberry farm with stunning views of the Tallarook Ranges. Blue Tongue Berries is a 20 acre regenerative blueberry farm located near Seymour in Central Victoria. Seymour is one hour north of Melbourne and the gateway to the Goulburn river and ranges. The farm is completely off the grid with solar and wind power stored in batteries. Our main farm building is constructed from strawbales and has a passive solar design. The farm produces premium quality organic blueberries which are exclusively sold from our Cantina. The property is self-sufficient with power, water, firewood and the majority of our food. The property overlooks the magnificent Tallarook ranges and is a short distance from the Goulburn River, Lake Nagambie, the Great Victorian Rail Trail and several amazing local wineries & restaurants. The Hacienda is a bespoke strawbale building which encompasses a passive solar design. Hacienda 2 is a hotel style private guest room with its own ensuite and private lockable entry. Additional spaces for relaxing include the Hacienda's "Great Hall" lounge with wood fire heater, the courtyard garden and balcony with views of the ranges. Please note this farmstay does not contain a kitchen but does have coffee and tea making facilities, cups, glasses, plates and cutlery. The property is only one hour north of Melbourne and can be easily accessed via train or freeway. The train station is 5 minutes away by car. Regional venues and attractions are easily accessible by car. If you're planning lunch at a winery for example and don't want to drive, Seymour offers a taxi service. Our fresh blueberry season is during summer. Breakfast is available from our Cantina and can be pre-ordered during your stay. Our Cantina is also fully licensed. Breakfast and bar menus are located in your room. Please note breakfast is optional and charged at an additional rate. If you require an extra bed made up in your farmstay, other than the queen size bed, please request it when booking. NBN Wifi is available in all buildings and across most of the property. Please note our property is totally off-grid and at times has limited power. Please let us know before using any of your own high wattage devices. There's no smoking permitted inside buildings. We don't accommodate pets, however, there is a cattery and kennels on a neighbouring property. This farmstay is not suitable for children under 12. Blue Tongue Berries contains a total of 5 farmstays on the property, and the hosts also live on site.
