16th Century cottage set in formal gardens
The Dairy is a beautiful 16th Century cottage attached to our house. Perfect for someone to work, a couple or small family get away to the countryside. The cottage is set on six acres of land and looks out into the formal garden, both of which you can roam around. The cottage is well equipped with a full kitchen, washing machine, wifi and all the essentials. The summer house in the garden, along with a BBQ and charcoal provided for one BBQ. Cot and baby equipment on request. Bed for third person or two people who do not wish to share, on request a full fold out single bed is in the living room, and bedding can be provided. Your cottage The Dairy, the summer house the blue glass house in the garden with full heating, fairy lights and electric candles (let me know in advance and I can switch it all on for you) all the formal gardens, meadows, front garden and all the land you are welcome to explore with many fruit trees, a huge willow tree and 'the stolen land'.. if you can find it. We live next door, and well be happy to help or recommend any restaurants or places of interest during your stay. We are out in the formal garden on the dry days as it takes a fair bit of upkeep, if you have any garden based questions ask away! The village we live in is small but perfectly formed with our local award winning pub doing fantastic homemade food. We are located a short drive from, Westonbirt, Stonehenge, Avebury, Castle combe, Lacock, Bath and many more rural attractions. Including a fantastic number of local vineyards! We recommend driving to stay with us and we have plenty of off the road parking. We are based on Maud Heaths Causeway so it is possible to walk or cycle from Chippenham train station, 25min fast walking, or 10mins cycling. We have maps of all the walking routes, and can recommend various ones stopping off at points of interest that you would like to see during your stay.
