Modern, spacious home in the countryside

A house in the countryside, yet very close to the town of High Wycombe with its easy train access to London, shopping centres, bars and restaurants. There are two pubs within walking distance, many walks throughout the woodlands and fields around as well as many beautiful villages within short driving distance. The house is set up for short weekends away as well as monthly stays with the ability to work from home. Three spacious bedrooms; the master bedroom and second bedroom have enough rooms for a travel cot if you wish to bring one. The top floor contains a double bedroom and a bathroom, with a desk overlooking the garden and an extra screen that can be used if working from home. Important** I have a friendly black cat who is being looked after by my neighbours and her digital cat flap will be set so that she can't come in the house. She may come into the garden and if you leave the doors and windows open, she may come in so make sure they are shut if you don't want her. Obviously, if you love cats then feel free to open the cat flap and let her in, just make sure she is out again when you leave! The second floor houses the master bedroom with a king sized bed a large built-in wardrobe plus a second double bedroom and a shared bathroom. All bedrooms have blackout blinds and are quiet. On the bottom floor, there is a sitting room with a wood-burning stove (though we tend not to use it much due to the underfloor heating!), two sofas and large television, Sonos speakers, PlayStation 4 with games and lots of DVDs to choose from. The well-stocked kitchen/dining room has everything you'd need to cook, including all the little things such as salt, pepper, oil and butter. For breakfast, there is a Nespresso machine, tea and a range of cereal to choose from, plus some condiments here if you bring bread. There is also a sofa bed in the kitchen and two inflatable single mattresses to sleep up to 10 people if you are coming for a larger group gathering (extra charges apply). There is a table that easily sits 6, more at a push. There is fast WiFi throughout the house. There is a lot of room for your own things if you are coming for monthly stays. The garden has a patio and a long lawn with shed at the top. Behind the shed is a weights bench for your use if you so desire! There is room on our side of the drive for 4 cars though please do not block our wonderful neighbours! The road has spaces for more cars if needed. We have a self check-in service but will always be available to call or ask questions if you need us. There are many walks that can be done from the house, throughout the Chiltern countryside (ordnance survey maps in the house). There is a village shop 10 mins walk away. High Wycombe itself is a 7 min drive and has a few restaurants as well as most other amenities such as supermarkets, shopping centres, a cinema, bars, a club, a leisure centre, paintball and a trampoline park! There are other lovely villages and countryside within half an hour, such as Marlow, Henley-on-Thames, Great Missenden and Wendover. If you want specific recommendations then please message us. The famous city of Oxford is about 45 minutes drive away and the fast train to London Marylebone leaves High Wycombe train station (10 mins away) frequently and takes less than half an hour. Buckinghamshire is centrally located in the country, perfect for a group meet up if you're scattered around!
