1830's converted barn with sauna
This barn dates back to 1830's but it has been fully renovated to a studio apartment with all modern comforts. It is one open space with living area and two sleeping lofts, one with queen bed, the other with 2 single beds. A bit like a giant cubby house! The shops are just 5 minute stroll away, and so is the river and train station. You share a garden with a spa and BBQ with the main house where we live. Unique accommodation in the centre of historic Windsor! This barn is one of the oldest structures in Windsor and dates back to 1830's. It has been fully renovated and converted into a studio flat that includes a double bed on a loft, fold out sofa bed, cooking facilities, bathroom and a Finnish sauna! Windsor is half way between Sydney and the Blue mountains so makes a perfect holiday location for families and couples. The barn is separate from the main house so you have full privacy, although we do have kids so if they are home I cannot guarantee complete silence anywhere within 100 meter radius of our property! We also have a cat Charlie who is very friendly and will come asking for a cuddle. We discourage letting her in the barn though as some of our guests are allergic. We are located few hundred meters from the centre of Windsor so you have easy access to shops and restaurants. The town has a beautiful mall that lights up with old gas lights at night. You can enjoy a drink at the oldest pub in Australia (so they claim) and a dinner in a church converted into a trendy bar & restaurant and more! Then stroll back to the barn and heat up a sauna. Please note if you have small children or mobility challenges - the beds are located on lofts that are accessed via a ladder. There is also a hot spa outside. The cover has straps with clips on it to discourage kids from trying to access it without adult supervision but just want you to be aware of this. Outdoor hot spa, BBQ, washing machine, wifi As much or as little the guests want! Windsor is a historic town with a gas light lit mall and scenic river running through it. All services are within 5 minute walk and Sydney just an hour drive or train ride away. The only downside is that RAAF air base is a few kilometers away, meaning on some days there are military planes landing and taking off which can be noisy. The noise is not regular or constant, but there is no set schedule to it. Train
