Daplin Oakes is a quiet home rented only to adults 21 and older and children accompanied by a parent. It is a 3 bedroom home on a cove of Long Pond in Belgrade Maine. It’s is close to hiking trails and small town shopping. With restaurants in down town Belgrade Lakes you can go out or stay in. Contact us for more. The shores of Daplin Oakes' grounds face the most spectacular sunsets overlooking the lake. A quiet neighborhood on a private road just perfect for a bicycle ride or an early morning jog. There is a dock suitable for mooring a boat or canoe or just sitting watching the Loons. There is a 14 ft aluminum canoe available along with two fishing kayaks and many lake floats and loungers. Life jackets from infant to XXL adult. A paddle boat and even three adult bicycles (1 men’s, 1 women’s and one adult trike). There are many games including board games, badminton, horse shoes, even croquet available for guests to set up. You have access to entire house and beach shed and private dock/beach area. Our home is equipped with keyless entry. Guests receive a personal door code for their stay just before check in time. We are available by phone/text and may pop in to tend to garden, indoor plants, or home repairs if necessary. We do our best to try and not interrupt your stay and you let you know if we would be stopping by. Our property is on a dead end dirt road with seasonal homes and a few year round neighbors. It is a quiet neighborhood and their is a chance you can see some wildlife right in our yard. When renting currently guests are expected to practice social distancing and use face masks when appropriate in accordance with our state orders. We are providing a few masks for your stay. Any questions please just ask. A short drive just beyond Castle Island Camps you will find the public boat ramp. There is no fee for launching but you must pass under a low bridge to get to Daplin Oakes by water. The Village is one mile north on route 27 and is a quick car ride or a brisk bike ride to Day’s Store. There you can find all your household needs, beverages, sandwiches and pizza. They also have the option of arriving by lake to their ice cream shoppe out back! You will have passed Christy’s Country Store if you arrived from route 27 south. There you can also buy house hold needs, beverages, sandwiches and pizza. Having fires in the beach pit are allowed when weather conditions permit.
