14 Shirley Road is located in the vibrant suburb of Glenwood, next to the University, St Augustine Hospital and 10 mins away from the city centre/beachfront. The accommodation on offer is situated at the back of an old Victorian property/house property that has stunning views over the Durban. The accommodation consists of an outside double bedroom on-suite, with access to separate kitchenette and private courtyard. Ideal for doctors and lecturers/ mature students. It is a pleasure for me to host you at 14 Shirley Road, Glenwood. The accommodations offered consists of: An outside detached double bedroom on suite located at the back of the house. In addition to the accommodation guests have exclusive use of an outside breakfast courtyard, fully equipped kitchenette and small outside lounge all located in a second detached building located at the back of the house. My goal is to create a space where our guests can feel at home, relaxed and by the end of your stay – refreshed. Perfect for lecturers and post graduate students. The accommodations on offer is situated in a very quiet safe residential area with separate entrances. Access is via the garage or front gate. The pool can be used by guests on request only, and there is access to laundry / maid services at additional cost if required. The accommodation is at the back of the house and has a separate entrances so guests can come and go as they need. There is security fencing and alarms for your piece of mind. Glenwood is a lovely and relatively safe residential area. The local Bulwer Park is very popular with early morning/ late afternoon joggers and fitness classes. There is a Woolworths Food shop just the other side of the Park (walking distance) for your day-day food needs. Next to Woolworths there are many restaurants and places for takeaways including Nando’s, Afros Chicken, Bean Green café. Opposite the park is the Savior Café (which is owned and managed by good friends of ours), and the KZN Arts Cafe & Gallery. Uber is the best way to get around and waiting time is normally not more than 2mins. If you want to get a more secure taxi service, one of our friends brothers owns a taxi and you can call Vincent on (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and tell him you are staying with Gary. There is a garage to park your car. There is also parking on the road outside the house (if garage in use). Other neighbours also park outside at night and there is 24 hour security guard on duty at the end of the road, however all parking is at guests own risk. There is a very friendly dog on the property that will be kept away from guests. However, guests need to be aware of him and the pool and keep gates closed at all times leading to the pool etc. This is a residential area and therefore guests are requested to be respectful with STRICKLY NO loud noise permitted after 10PM. If guests wish to bring friends on to the property, this can only be done WITH PRIOR PERMISSION of the host. All friends have to have left the property by 10PM to respect the neighbours.
