Airstream Tranquility

Tranquilty is a 29' Airstream Excella with two twin beds. It sits on the edge of Van Damme State Park, surrounded by tall redwoods and is self-contained, peaceful, and quiet. Welcome to our 1992 29' Airstream Excella nestled among mighty redwoods. There is propane heat, an electric fireplace, hot/cold water, electricity, and TV, but no telephone. The 32" TV is connected to the local network which can access my extensive and eclectic movie collection so you can snuggle in and say, watch all movies filmed in Mendocino! There is a 4 burner propane range with oven, a microwave & full sized refrigerator. Very quiet, private and cozy - perfect for bicyclists, hikers or mushroom enthusiasts looking for a north coast base camp. The property is several acres, you are welcome to wander anywhere. It backs up to a very remote section of Van Damme State Park, I have gotten lost back there. You can help yourself to the laundry room off of the barn, and any needed detergent. There is a fire ring with firewood should you care for a fire and a large deck with picnic table. Dogs and cats are welcome, we have a Schipperke and Two Large Furry Cats. We consider pets to be people, so if you have them, please add them as extra guests, our fee for them is $25 each per night. Please remember that we are on the edge of Van Damme State Park, and there are mountain lions, bears, and lesser beasts out there. I live in a very quiet neighborhood of 2-10 acre properties. There is a pygmy forest interpretive walk about 3/4's of a mile west, with a magical redwood hike into Fern Canyon, at Van Damme State Park. Also great for biking. My place is 15 minutes from Mendocino by car, seven miles, and it is a fun 45 minute bicycle ride into town through the woods, and about 2 hours home (steep hill!) No public transport is available so you need your own transportation. The town of Little River is only 3.5 miles and has three great restaurants, a spa, 18 hole golf course and an ocean view bar. The property is on a well, and we are in a severe drought. Please keep this in mind at all times and conserve water as much as possible.
