Cottage has 1 bedroom, queen bed, separate bathroom, walk in wardrobe, kitchen/dining/lounge area, private deck overlooking farmland. We are in main house next door for anything you need, or you can enjoy your own privacy. Hobbiton 15 minute drive, town 4 minute drive. *MULTIPLE NIGTHT SPECIALS* Chestnut Lane Cottage has been awarded the Tripadvisor No. 1 B&B in NZ and Top 25 in the world during the past years. You have off street parking and private access to cottage. Guests can sit in our garden, gazebo and under the lovely trees. We love to interact with guests and are available whenever needed. We do respect our guests privacy at all times. The cottage is quite private so there is no worry with being disturbed. Hobbiton - 15 minutes drive Restaurants and shops - 4 minutes drive Hot pools - 15 minutes drive We are very central to other places of interest. 1 hour drive to Rotorua. 1 hours 15 minutes to Waitomo Caves. 50 minutes to the beautiful beach of Mount Mangaunui and Tauranga. Hamilton gardens 40 minutes drive. Public transport drop off and pickup is 4 minutes from our home, we are available to pick up our guests from buses in out and of Matamata if you do not have own transport. The township of Matamata is a 4 minute drive from our home or a pleasant 20 minute walk. We have beautiful walks in our area. Wairere Falls is a spectacular walk only 20 minutes drive from our home. Te Waihou and Blue Springs walkway is a beautiful easy walk, it meanders alongside the river through the trees to a magical blue spring. There are 8 very nice restaurant/cafe's for an evening meal and many eating and take out options for a casual meal, breakfast or lunch.
