This is a flexible and airy apartment that works well for independent travellers, couples, families or groups of friends of up to 4. Featuring many artefacts collected on extensive travels in Asia and North Africa, together with drawings and paintings created by the host, there is a stylish, creative vibe. The welcoming and open plan interior has unusually high ceilings, with a sociable lounge area, convenient desk workspace, and sleek new kitchen. The apartment is located on one of Leamington Spa's prime residential streets, very close to the centre of the town. This apartment is part of a converted chapel in the centre of Leamington on Portland Street. It has a large open plan style with unusually high ceilings. There is a sleek, brand new kitchen (installed May 2019), generous dining table, a large comfy sofa area and a desk to work at. It's a light, spacious, creative space that is also very private. Many of the artefacts have been collected on extensive travels in Asia and North Africa. The walls are decorated with many of Rebecca's own paintings and drawings. Rebecca lives in the apartment upstairs and is on hand to help guests with any issues. Number 19 is very much used as an extension of her own home and friends and family are frequent guests. This is definitely not an anonymous apartment for rent. Overall the style is contemporary but comfortable with good beds, fluffy towels and super soft pillows and duvets. There is on street parking for 1 car provided with the apartment. An additional permit can be provided on request. Rebecca wants guests to be able to arrive and 'flop'. This is a space where you can relax in comfort and enjoy some quality time. The whole apartment is available for the use of guests. Entry is directly off Portland Street and the whole apartment is on ground floor level. With no stairs or large steps and a wooden floor, the apartment is well suited to anyone in a wheel chair or with mobility issues, but it has not been designed specifically for disabled use. Rebecca lives upstairs and works in central Leamington Spa. She will try and be as flexible as possible to greet guests and is always on hand to answer calls and texts, popping in when requested to assist with any issues. Leamington Spa is a pretty Regency town with award-winning parks and many independent shops. It's frequently voted one of the happiest places to live in the country. Portland Street is a quiet, tree-lined avenue, close to the main boutiques and restaurants. While the location is very central, because the street is not a main throughfare for traffic, it is generally very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has very easy access with its own front door. No 19 is a short walk (12-15 minutes) from the mainline train station on the Chiltern Line that connects with Stratford upon Avon, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton. There are good local bus services from the Parade (2-5 minutes away) that serve Warwick, the University and Stratford upon Avon.
