Rainforest Hideaway at Daintree Wilderness Lodge

Daintree Wilderness Lodge offers boutique accommodation with personalised hospitality. We have 7 cabins and enjoy looking after our guests during their stay with us. Each cabin has its own balcony, private boardwalk leading you to your front door and unique skylight which allows you to look up into the giant Fan Palms and rainforest trees and fauna. With a highly rated Restaurant, outdoor spa and nature walk on the property, some guests never want to leave. All stays are inclusive of breakfast Escape into nature with your own private hideaway right in the middle of the rainforest. Each our of 7 cabins falls within eco accreditation guidelines ensuring we protect the magnificent views, allowing guests to enjoy the animals, sounds and beauty the Rainforest offers. Your cabin sits on stilts with your very own walkway leading you to your front door. Each Cabin features a unique viewing sunroof allowing you to gaze up into the rainforest and filling your cabin with beautiful rays of sunshine in the morning and natural light during the day. The seven cabins are set a fair distance from the next, all tucked away beneath the canopy and under the beautiful fan palms, offering a “canopy coolness” and privacy within your cabin. Each cabin includes a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, airconditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Start your day with our all inclusive breakfast which includes seasonal tropical fruits, locally grown tea and coffee, Mungalli bio-organic dairy produce and free range eggs. We have a hot option that changes daily. Our very own private restaurant ‘CYCAD’ caters exclusively to Daintree Wilderness Lodge guests. This ensures that our locally sourced and carefully prepared produce is presented in an intimate and personal setting surrounded by the beautiful rainforest in our unique open air venue. Start your day with our full breakfast which includes seasonal tropical fruits, locally grown tea and coffee and a choice of Continental or a Cooked Breakfast that changes daily. Tropical North Queensland is blessed with ideal conditions for harvesting succulent seafood and for growing an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables. In line with our Eco-Accreditation, much of our produce is organically grown and locally sourced, we create all of our dishes from the ‘ground up’ free from preservatives and majority gluten free. Evening meals are home cooked with care and incorporate the best local produce including Barramundi and locally made smallgoods. The restaurant is open from 6pm – 9pm with the bar available from the afternoon. Reception hours are 8.00am - 8.00pm each day however management live onsite to assist guests at all times. The Daintree is the only place in Australia where the rainforest meets the reef. With white sand, clear blue water and lush rainforest, it is easy to see why this is such a unique holiday destination. The tropical fish and marine life are plentiful as no commercial fishing is permitted. The nearest beach, known as Cow Bay, is just a short 10-minute drive up the road, it is the least touristy beach in the area and enjoys some fantastic views. Guests will require a car to get to the Lodge and to visit the local sites as there is not public transport north of the Daintree River where we are located. COVID Vaccination Policy From 17th December proof of Covid-19 Vaccination will be required. The Queensland Government has issued a Public Health notice that from the 17th December 2021, hotels, and licensed venues will only permit people who are double vaccinated to enter - this includes both staff and guests. The Daintree Wilderness Lodge and our Cycad restaurant will require all guests to check-in via the QLD App and provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination certificates upon arrival at the Lodge. Only people aged 16 and over will need to be fully vaccinated to enter. WIFI and Mobile Phone Reception As we are located in a remote region, mobile phone reception and our Free WIFI may sometimes be hindered by the tall trees and forest canopy. This is outside of our control and we hope you can understand. Wifi is free and only available in the restaurant and around the reception area. Wifi is not currently available in your cabin. Car Hire Notice Due to COVID19, Hire Cars in Cairns are in short supply. To avoid disappointment and paying too much please book your hire car in advance.
