Cozy nice room near UN HQ Gigiri

We are adopted all the Covid-19 recommended protocols and are happy to host international guests in this cozy room in a private part of our house. It is cozy, quiet and self contained - with a shower, sink and toilet. The ideal place for anyone visiting the nearby UN , Canadian, US, Belgium and Austrian embassies. Its also a great getaway for anyone who wants a quiet weekend. Welcome to our serene home and make it your home during your stay. We are located on a scenic half an acre valley where we share a river boundary and an enchanting waterfall with the UN headquarters. The place offers peace, tranquility and a 180 degree view of nothing but greenery from the regenerated Karura forest. You sleep very peacefully at night and wake up to the chirping sounds of a variety of birds. Its a 15 minute brisk walk to the UN and the US Embassy, about 20 min walk to the Canadian Embassy and the vibrant Village Market Mall where there is a large supermarket, shops, a dry cleaner, salon/barber, pharmacy, restaurants, and a foodcourt. There are other great restaurants nearby. Food deliveries by Dominos Pizza, Nandos, ArteCaffe, KFC and others all within 30 minutes. We re-arrange the room according to number of guests- one bed for a single guest or two single beds for 2 guests. While respecting Covid -19 protocols, guests can enjoy the backyard which offers serene view of the UN lush trees and soothing sounds of a waterfall. You may cook your own meal in the kitchen, use the fridge, the microwave oven, and toaster. The kitchen provides basic ingredients such as spices, seasonings, salt, sugar, so all you need is buy your own steak, fish, vegetables, rice, potatoes etc, and make your own meal for the day, or barbecue over the weekend. Breakfast is inclusive. We value your privacy and will not intrude. But you are welcome to chat and get to know about our beautiful country. I will be glad to help you plan a weekend getaway, shopping, a trip to the nearby Nairobi Game park, Nairobi Safari Walk, the museum, the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage, or the Giraffe Centre. Out of town you may make a trip to Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley which is only an hour away, or the snow-capped Mt. Kenya which is a 2.5 hr drive. A safe and quiet upmarket neighbourhood located in a closed street with tight security. Good for long walks or bike rides. 5 minutes drive to Karura Forest which offers biking tracks, picnic sites and the popular River Cafe in the woods. Walk to the Village Market or take a cab for US$ 4 and enjoy shopping at the Masai Market on Fridays. Relax at the porch as you listen to the calming waterfall as you view the lush Karura and UN grounds. A sight to behold! Its like being in a wild park, yet in the city. Uber, Mondo Rides and other secure taxis are a 3 minute call away. Public transport (Matatus and buses ) are available a 10 minute walk away. On special arrangements, we can rent you our spare car with a driver for days you need to run around the city and its environs. If you have a hired car, we have plenty of parking space. Uber is widely available or we can recommend our preferred taxi guy. We have an outside dog and puppy which are friendly. A branch of the Nairobi Hospital is located right opposite the UN - about 15 min walk away.
